Does this week feel long or is it just me? #cheathamscamp #catsofinstagram #catlife #sassycat #cattitude #thursday #almosthere #almosttheweekend
One of our volunteers took Cyrus on a field trip. This is what she had to say: Yesterday my sister and I took Cyrus on a hike to Hidden Lake, a walk through Home Depot, and took him shopping for treats at PetSmart đś I think he had a great day! Heâs kind of like that friend on vacation who just goes along with the plans and has fun no matter what. We met all kinds of people, kids, and dogs throughout the day. He showed mild interest in meeting humans but mostly just sniffed, allowed a pet or two, and then wanted to move on. His ears would perk up when he saw a dog but he wouldnât try to approach nor did he bark one time the whole day! When we were at Home Depot I almost forgot he was with us (not really!), he just sits so calmly by your side, never needs redirection, matches your energy. He would be a very easy dog to have as a companion!
With severe weather approaching our area this afternoon, this is a friendly reminder to bring all pets inside if you can!#nashvilleweather #shelterdogs #protectyourpets #severewestheraware
Chippy was a puppy found on the side of the road in Cheatham County. His leg was so badly broken that he needed an amputation. Not to worry because he is already feeling so much better! He will be just fine with three legs! Thanks to our donors, SCAMP had the money to pay for this surgery. Chippy will be available for adoption through Cheatham County Animal Control in Pegram, TN. 615-792-3647. #adoptashelterpet #adoptdontshop #nashville #cheathamcounty #tripod
Our dogs continue to amaze us as we learn more about them. Yesterday in play group, we watched Gibby do something very interesting. He was playing with two other females who were pretty keyed up, and Gibby would intentionally slow down the pace of play by putting himself in the middle and steering the girls apart. He was an expert at keeping the play from escalating, in fact he handled it far better than we mere humans could have done. Thatâs a special kind of dog who can steer the play dynamic! But of course we already knew that Gibby is a star. He is also kid friendly and just a loving boy who has waited too long. Please come meet Gibby at CCAC. Itâs time!
