*This poem came across my feed, some time ago. It seems as pertinent today, as it ever did.

At the end of the day we must own our choices. We cannot blame our parents, our trauma, the economy, the political tone, or anything else.
If we are to change our trajectory, we must own and accept it.

Make better choices.

“There’s a scene in a western movie
That hit me like a knife.
It really got me thinkin’
About the way I’ve lived my life.

There was this cowboy feller
Who was a travelin’ through the land.
Somehow it seems he found himself
Thrown in with an outlaw band.

I don’t suppose it would be too wrong,
If with these fellers I ride.
I’ll just keep their company a little while,
‘till I reach the other side.

Soon they stole some horses
And they killed some men for fun.
Ol’ Jake knew he was in too deep,
But he’s too scared to run.

We would like to thank everyone that participated in our Desensitizing Clinic this past weekend! We had an awesome turnout and as usual everyone had a blast! We are so very proud of each and every one of you that participated and the progress that you made with your horses! We have another clinic scheduled for this Thursday for those that didn't get to attend Saturdays festivities. As well as another clinic scheduled for August 31st if anybody would be interested or has more questions please send us a message! 😊

Unfortunately we lost a very special part of our family, our oldest horse on the farm, Gold Seeker this week. It has been a very tough and trying month in general, so we apologize for our absence. Gold Seeker was such a special horse to our family and there will never be another mare like her! she did everything from trails, husband, halter classes, western pleasure, 4H, contesting, and of course toted many kiddos around in her 27 years on this earth.Remember NOBODY WILL DO FOR YOUR ELDERLY HORSE WHAT YOU WOULD DO! Also let them go when it's time, it's better a day too soon than a minute too late.. #
