Hey folx! Now that Fall is upon us and my work schedule has become regular again, I am hoping to start a class sometime this November.

As most of you already know, I am a law enforcement officer, and the community I serve has ben seeing another increase in COVID cases, and we have two weekends of public gathering events in a row coming up. With that in mind, I will be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for people along with the usual proof of vaccinations for the dogs enrolled in the class. I will have my vaccination card with me, and I plan on getting my booster this Fall. My goal is to ensure the safety of all my students as well as their families, while also getting back into teaching classes.

I have been seeing more requests for an adult dog class, so that's what this November's class will be. The class will be for dogs 18 months and older, and there will be a max of 5 dogs in the class, both due to space to accommodate social distancing suggestions and to allow for as much one-on-one time as I can provide in a class setting to ensure you and your dog get as much as possible from each session of the class.

Class will be held on Friday evenings beginning sometime in the second-half of november (I'll post an update as soon as I have a start date nailed down). Class is held at Bay Area Pet Spa from 6pm to 7pm, for 6 weeks.

To enroll in the class:
Send a direct message (not a comment) to me using the blue 'Send Message' button containing your interest in the class. I will need vet records that show your dog is spayed/neutered (no exceptions), is up to date on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccines, and proof of Covid vaccine for the person/people that will be in the class with your dog.

I cannot hold spots open for the class, but can start a wait list. If the wait list is large enough, I'll create a second class.

Puppy Basics Class!

Class will begin on Wednesday March 31 at 6pm, held at Bay Area Pet Spa in Ashland. *must sign up and receive confirmation to be enrolled in this class* $120 per puppy for the 6 week class. Maximum of 6 puppies based on venue space and Covid social distancing requirements.

This class will focus on socialization, attention span, play etiquette, focus, leash manners and patience.

This particular class is designed for puppies under 6 months of age. All puppies must be up to date on age appropriate Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccinations.

I will need your puppy’s proof of vaccinations in order to confirm enrollment. I cannot reserve space in the class. You will only be signed up once I receive your puppy’s records and they are up to date. Send this page a direct message to get started!

Adult Basic Obedience Class!

Class will begin on Tuesday March 30 at 6pm, held at Bay Area Pet Spa in Ashland. *must sign up and receive confirmation to be enrolled in this class* $150 per dog for the 6 week class. Maximum of 5 dogs based on venue space and Covid social distancing requirements.

This class will focus on basic manners, patience, focus, leash manners, attention span, greeting and play etiquette.

This particular class is designed for dogs older than 6 months. All dogs must be spayed / neutered, and be up to date on age appropriate Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccinations.

Alrighty folks! *fingers crossed* but the community I serve has has several weeks of zero new positive cases of Covid! I'll be starting up two classes at the end of March. One class will be for pups under the age of 6 months, and the other will be for pups over 6 months old. Both classes will be Beginning Obedience Basics.

For both learning benefits and social distancing purposes, I'm putting a cap on each of the classes. The maximum number of adult (over 6 months) dogs will be 5, and the max number of puppies will be 6. For both classes, each pup can be accompanied by no more than 2 people.

Class structure will remain the same as my pre-pandemic classes. Each class will be held one weekday evening per week for a series of 6 weeks. Each session will be 60 minutes log with additional 20-30 minutes at the end of each session for Q&A as needed.

Vaccination requirements:
All pups must be up to date on age appropriate Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccines. All pups older than 6 months must be spayed/neutered, and any pup turning 6 months during the class must be spayed/neutered in order to continue in the class.

I believe most of you know that I’m a LEO, and thus do not have much choice in who I come into contact with in the course of doing my job. The community I work for is continuing to see an increase in COVID cases.

With that in mind I don’t feel it would be right for me to continue holding classes and in-person training sessions until my community has had several weeks of no new cases. I am not willing to risk one of my classes being a point of exposure or close contact for anyone.

I will be looking into seeing how feasible setting up some one-on-one virtual sessions will be, and using PayPal as a method of payment. I’ll keep y’all posted as I figure things out. Please be patient with me. I was hoping things would revert to a semblance of normal and they just have not.

Alrighty folks! Now that things are beginning to open back up again and we’ve had some good practice getting used to sanitizing better, I’ll be beginning to schedule classes again.

Starting the end of July (exact date not set yet) will be a Basic Puppy Class for pups under 6 months old. Age-appropriate Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella vaccines are required, and any pup that will be turning 6 months during the class must be spayed or neutered at or before 6 months to continue in the class.

Class fee is $100 per pup for the six-week class. If a family wants to enroll more than one pup, each pup must be accompanied by a responsible human 16 years or older.

Another successful puppy class completed! All the pups and their people were awesome and passed the class!! I loved watching the puppies grow in size, confidence , and skills.

Hello again everyone! My surgery went well and I have successfully come out the the other side of recovery ready to start another class!

Puppy Basics Class will begin on Monday Feb 3 at 6pm, held at Bay Area Pet Spa in Ashland. This class is designed for puppies under 6 months of age. The class runs for 6 weeks, with a total of 6 sessions held on Monday evenings. All puppies must be up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and any puppies turning 6 months during the duration of the class must be spayed or neutered.

To sign up for the class, direct message this page with your interest, how many puppies you are enrolling, and copies of your puppies’ vaccination records. Once I have the records you and your puppy will be signed up.

Class fee is $100 for the Puppy Basics Class and covers all 6 sessions.
