50th ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) Nationals is October 12-19.

E'ire & I are making the trip to Grand Island, NE as we have been invited to compete in the Stockdog Finals.

The Top 25 Australian Shepherd Stockdogs from Europe, North & South America competing on sheep, cattle & ducks.

E'ire & I went to PEN-NY ASC's Leaf Kick'n Classic this past weekend and brought home lots of ribbons! Thanks go out to Flying Bucket Farm for hosting - Anya Varrone - PENNY asc, Course Director - Jeff Podraza, stockhandlers and Judges - Jan Wesen & Sue Kelly.

This is E'ire and I at the Hoods Farm trial this past weekend. Taken by the set out person. It looks like E'ire has finished her cross drive and we are heading for the pen!

I am very proud of all my dogs, but I just have to highlight an accomplishment E'ire has over the weekend....

Hood's Farm sdt on Sunday E'ire ran in Ranch and took 1st place! Outrun about 400' with 8 head of sheep to wrangle thru the course and finishing off with a pen. 🎉 Yeah!!

Beginner Herding Clinic

We will be working with sheep for this clinic. Jean works with all breeds in a unique way that develops herding understanding and skills. Jean shares the foundation exercises she has learned to help you and your dog have greater understanding. This is done by breaking down exercises into smaller steps. Have you ever felt lost or did not know what to do or even see the issues? Try Jean’s clinic and learn something new!

All herding heritage breeds and mixes and levels welcomed! Dogs should be at least 8 months to a year or older to participate. No previous herding experience required for this clinic.

Two Day Clinic working spot - $250
Audit - no dog participation - $50 per day

Thank you to the Wine Country Belgian Tervuren Club for today's Herding Trial. Thanks to all the stock handlers and helpers, along with Spiritwinds Farm. Wonderful day to work dogs. Thank you Mr Jim Hartnagle for judging.

Erie took 1st in Ducks with 95 and 2nd in her sheep class. Then went High In Trial! We won this cute metal sheep for the garden. More tomorrow!
