4 Doodle pups abandoned need homes, can you help? Looking for FOSTERS OR ADOPTERS!
These little darlings were found under a bridge in the middle of nowhere, suspected dumped by a breeder in AR. They now have their first set of vaccinations and are being dewormed. Sweet and craving human love, good with other dogs. They are young, still have their baby teeth. Not sure how old but their current weights are:

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR BOXER ZOEY!

Zoey is a beautiful black and white boxer. She is 1 year of age and weighs 55 pounds. She is boxer buff! She is currently being held at a veterinary clinic as her owner had to move into a small apartment and could not take Zoey with her. Zoey is very sweet but needs a little time to warm up to you. She has been bounced to three different families in her short life. All this moving around has been through no fault of her own, but it has made her a insecure. However, once she knows that she can get back rubs and butt scratches, she plops right down and soaks in the love and attention. She is sensitive to voices, and she likes to be told she is a good dog. Zoey has lived with children. She loves to play with other dogs, after proper introductions, and with toys. It is not known how she is with cats. She honors a fence, but she does not like to be crated, as she was crated a lot by one of her previous owners. Three families in a short year-long life would be difficult for anyone. Zoey needs a human to gently lead her and a human to consistently be there as Zoey’s human in this world. Meet Chewbacca! Chewy is a 3 year old Colorado Mountain Dog, Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix. He is smart, gentle, extremely loyal, and listens well to commands. He’s an athletic pup who would love to be your hiking buddy. He’s also a total love bug. He currently lives on a ranch that hosts a camp, and the day to day activity at the ranch is too stressful for him at times and he’d thrive in a calmer environment. Roxy is the most adorable Basset Hound mix puppy! She is about 6 months old and 26 pounds of love. She is great with adults, kids and other dogs. No idea what she is mixed with but it sure made a precious little one! This pup is either relaxing which she does well! or going full speed which she also does well! She is an angel girl who is full of joy and all things good. Roxy is definitely a puppy who wants to play, play, play. She loves to play with other dogs but we think would also be fine as an only dog as long as she has play dates. She is great in her crate at night and sleeps peacefully but would also love to sleep with her person or another dog. She’s a dream on the leash, good recall, well behaved, friendly to people and other dogs she meets while out and about, great in the car, smart, discovering her voice but not a barker. She is respectful but still a puppy and will jump when excited. She knows the command ’sit’, such a good girl! She would love a big fenced in backyard to enjoy. Introducing Ivy! (FKA: Marshmallow) Ivy is sugar and spice and everything nice! We are not sure what breed or breed this gorgeous girl is but her coat is super soft and she has a gorgeous plume tail - maybe American Eskimo? Husky? Malamute? Samoyed??? We are not sure.. but what we do know is that she is lovely! Her eyes and tail are stunning. Her coat is crazy soft (she sheds some but not like a Husky) Ivy LOVES to run. She is very energetic and playful and loves toys. She will run after a ball or a frisbee. But she also really enjoys having a human to be close to. It seems as though Ivy has not really been exposed to formal training in her 2 short years… but she is eager to please and learn. She is potty trained, knows how to sit, takes her treats gently, lets you brush her and clean her paws and she is respectful of the rules in your home. Currently she is not crated and so far, can be trusted to be alone. She is happy to sleep with you or on her dog bed. Ivy would love to go home with someone who is excited about teaching her the ways of the world. She would also love to have a fenced in yard, although it is not a requirement. Ivy loves to go for car rides. She is good with other dogs that respect her boundaries and we have been told she is good with children. Eclipse is a 1½ yr old shepherd mix who was found abandoned, hungry for food and starving for attention. She immediately connected with her rescuers and everyone fell in love. Her eye had to be removed due to early onset glaucoma that caused a rupture, but she is now all healed up and ready for her forever family. This is what her foster family say about her:

Eclipse is amazing with other dogs and loves playing. She has been a dream with my kids and is so patient if they are being wild. We even have 2 cats that she hasn’t messed with, despite their constant harassment.

Surprisingly she is great on leash and I think she will be an amazing off leash dog since her recall is so fabulous! Car rides are no big deal for her. No resource guarding or aggression. We have a 4 month old puppy that pesters the daylights out of her and she is an angel for playing with her and appropriately correcting her.

Eclipse is doing amazing in our home & can’t wait to find her forever home! She has been doing amazing with all of our dogs, cats, kids, & farm animals. She truly is one of a kind and the best dog!

We have her sleep in a crate & it has become her safe space. She happily goes in it to eat, sleep, and for a break. We haven’t had a single potty accident inside the entire time she’s been with us. She is great on leash and pulls minimally, and loves car rides.

She is a hard player! She loves our puppy Tornado and they play and play all day long. She is easy & submissive with our older, cranky dogs, and a good corrector to dogs that need a little help playing nice.

Her only flaw is that she is agile enough to jump fences. She won’t do it when we are outside with her, but she won’t hesitate to do it if she’s trying to get to us outside the fence or if we are inside and she’s in the yard.

Our kids are wild, loud, and rambunctious and it does not phase her a single bit. She would do great in a wild home with a busy family or a quieter home where the attention is all on her.

She loves a good nap day or quiet weekend but will need plenty of daily stimulation to keep her happy. I think once she gets settled in a home, she’ll be an amazing on or off leash hiker.

We’re biased, but we really think she is just the best dog ever. Seeing her make an amazing transformation, not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well, has been so amazing! She deserves the best life has to offer!

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR FRENCHY MIX, SHADOW! He is currently in a shelter in Arkansas but we would love to bring him to CO, can you help?

Shadow is half French Bulldog, as his mom is a Frenchy and his dad a Catahoula. French Bulldog mixes are desirable as they have fewer of the health concerns that can be seen with purebreds.

Shadow's history: He was surrendered by his previous owners who were unable to give him good care. He's 9 months old and 30 pounds, the perfect size. He is good with dogs, cats, kids, strangers and livestock. He was mostly an inside dog who got to free-roam when outside. He's housetrained, crate-trained, likes riding in cars and will chase a ball for as long as you'll throw it!

At the shelter he's part of their outside doggie play group. He's up to date on his shots, has tested negative for heartworm and is neutered.

Shadow can be food protective (given his history) and needs to be fed alone for now, but with training he may be able to overcome that. He's not possessive of toys. He is a great little guy looking for a family of his own. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

Chamba!

This gorgeous Bernadoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix) is 85 pounds and 2 years old (DOB 11-19-21). He is a good boy in need of a new home due to a major change in his family's circumstances. Chamba is good with other dogs who don’t get too over-stimulated and have some basic training. He would do best with a dog closer to his size, but he can be the only dog with a person or family that will give him daily exercise and socialization. Chamba likes to walk during the coolest times of day; he is not keen on long hikes. He is crate trained and his kennel will come with him. He needs structure and a person/family who are calm, confident and understand the importance of maintaining training until it’s ingrained with his new people and household.

Chamba used to be reactive to deer, but has worked with a trainer to desensitize him from this behavior. He can also get a little grumpy around 5:00PM and that is when he needs crate time to just decompress and not behave inappropriately. Chamba does have a little naughty streak and sometimes likes to steal objects that he knows he is not supposed to have, but it’s important to use his training to retrieve things from him and not play tug-of-war or chase to get it from him. Chamba’s adoption comes with a required training session, paid for by the family who is having to rehome Chamba. We also would like an adopter to schedule a follow up session at their expense. This is to ensure people are devoted to maintaining his training beyond a few weeks and Chamba’s success.

We are looking for a homeowner (a rental situation is not stable enough for a large breed dog) with space for a large dog and a securely fenced in yard. We do not want to drastically change the environment he is used and would also like for Chamba to stay in a colder climate/mountain region, as he easily overheats and he loves the snow. Teenagers, who understand the responsibility and respect required for dog ownership, are great, but we will not place him in a home with small children and/or with couples expecting to have children in the near future. Chamba doesn’t always know his own strength and small children are peculiar to him. He gets groomed every 8 weeks and does great. He is also on a special diet, as a process of elimination to some kind of allergy.

Chamba needs a calm (not active with lots of activities with kids) home with good leadership, someone with the confidence and dedication to help him be his best self. He is currently in Carbondale, CO. LuckyDayRescue.org to apply!

Callie is a three-year-old blue heeler. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is housetrained. Callie is a few pounds overweight, currently weighing in at 51 pounds. She is being held at a veterinary clinic, as her owner is experiencing serious health issues and is no longer able to care for Callie. She has been well-loved! And Callie loves all people! She immediately rolls onto her back when she meets you. She is not afraid. She is just quite submissive and wants you to know that she would love it if you would rub her belly. She is not a working ranch dog. She shows no propensity for wanting to be a working ranch dog. She is happy, however, following her person everywhere. And she also loves to sit on the couch and snuggle. She is a wonderful dog for an active individual or family with respectful children. She has been exposed to many dogs at the clinic, and she does fine after proper introductions. It is not known how she is with cats. It is not known how she is with being crated. She is, however, quiet in her run at the clinic for the most part. She does bark a bit when being left, as she is happiest when with a human, but she quiets fairly quickly. Marshmallow is a beautiful three-year-old husky. She is current on her vaccinations and is estimated to weigh around 50 pounds. Speaking of “pounds,” Marshmallow was adopted by her current human from a shelter. Sadly, Marshmallow is now needing to find a new home as the owner is no longer able to keep her. The reason for Marshmallow being in the shelter is unknown. However, since moving into a home, Marshmallow has done very well. She is an affectionate dog. She is very well socialized and quite friendly to all people. She has done well with the small children she has been exposed to. She does not currently live with cats, but she has not been reactive when around a cat while walking and encountering cats. She is also good with other dogs who have good manners and when introduced properly. She is housetrained and honors a fence. She is not crated in her current home, but while at the shelter, she was held in a small kennel while her run was being cleaned, and she always waited quite patiently during such time. For a husky, she is not overly vocal. She also loves to ride in the car and go on adventures, and she walks very respectfully on a loose lead! LuckyDayRescue.org to apply

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR DIESEL! Diesel is a 14 month old Dobermann, neutered, UTD on vaccinations. Diesel was chained up for most of his puppyhood and his ears were cut off in an inhumane, cruel way. Despite being neglected and abused, he is one of the sweetest, most eager to please, dog-friendly dogs ever! He is also extremely intelligent, he is a quick study when it comes to training — fast recall and able to go from over-stimulated play into a calm focused state with one command. I am looking for a stable, active human being, who also has time to dedicated to a dog’s well being. Diesel will thrive in a household with another well-trained dog and a good size yard. He is a gazelle with long, lanky legs and he can spring a 5’ fence line without effort, so a securely fenced in yard is imperative. He does have a prey drive toward cats, so needless to say, no cats. ADOPTED! I just love my humans and want to snuggle with them every night. I can keep myself entertained with toys and love watching for critters in the yard. I love running around and popping up in the air when playing with my toys . My foster daddy says I am very entertaining! I really enjoy wrestling with other dogs my own size and would love to live with my own fluffy brother or sister. I really haven't met many human kids so I'm not sure what I think about them. I learned quickly and love to please! I'm still getting used to walking with a harness and starting to really enjoy it ! I just love my humans and hope I can find a home where somebody is around a lot of the time. I don't mind being left alone sometimes especially if I have another dog to keep me company but I feel more secure when someone is close by. I love to run and run and run so a little space to run in would be wonderful! I love my foster mom but I also adore my foster daddy! I am a good ,sweet girl and have so much love to give. He does, however, need a little more training to harness some of his excess energy. In his previous home, when he got bored, he would jump the fence line and wander the neighborhood. Pip would thrive in a calm household with humans who have time to dedicate to his well-being, and love for outdoor adventure! A dog like Pip needs a securely fenced yard. ADOPTED! Jax! Courtesy post only, not a Lucky Day dog Meet the adorable Jax! He is 20 pounds and 2-3 years old. Super lovey, a real snuggle bug. Jax does great off leash and loves to hike. He is also good on a leash for places where there are cars. He is learning some commands like sit, stay and calm with his foster mom and is learning quickly, especially since he is treat motivated. Jax is very easy around other dogs, loves to play! This little cutie has come so far. He had 2 hip fractures and heartworms when he arrived a year ago but has now been in great health for the last 8 months thanks to his dedicated rescuers! Jax can now hike and go on long walks, he loves going anywhere with his person or people! He is good around kids but he is so small sometimes it can be a little overwhelming for him. Good in the car, barely barks, is house trained and fine left home alone when his people go places he can’t go. He is a lovely little guy ready for his forever home! He is so smart (typical to breed) and will be fun to teach. He learns quickly and is doing so great in his foster home. He is house trained, affectionate, playful, sleeps through the night, good on a leash but could use more training with this, loves to run and play, he brings so much joy to all who meet him! Joey loves other dogs and plays well with all sizes. He met a cat and was very shy so we feel he will be fine with cats in the home. ADOPTED! Meet Grammy! This girl just arrived and she is such a gem. Her foster mom said she is super easy, curious, affectionate, house trained, knows the dog door, just an awesome dog. Her coat is a really pretty cinnamon color, we are guessing her to be a Shepherd mix of some sort. Grammy is estimated to be about 3 years old and is about 45 pounds. This very sweet cool dog is independent but not aloof, good on a leash, attaches quickly to her people. Would be fine with another dog or as an only dog, fine with cats. Grammy will make an excellent hiking partner or partner for any outdoor activities! Not a big barker, likes to ride shotgun in the car, not overly food motivated but likes treats.
