Pgh Dog Lady

Pgh Dog Lady A dogs home away from home. A place they will be spoiled with love, affection, exercise, and cuddles.

Pittsburgh Dog Lady is a social media platform showcasing the compassionate work of an animal rescue group founded by someone whose life was profoundly impacted by the cruelties of puppy mills. As a first-year student at Arizona State University in 2007, the founder's new puppy was discovered to have been bred and mistreated at one of these inhumane operations. Joined by another individual who fac

ed similar heartbreak, they formed a heroic group dedicated to shutting down several puppy mills throughout the Phoenix area. After returning to Pittsburgh in 2015, the founder established a new group comprised of animal lovers committed to helping dogs in need. Their multifaceted mission involves investigating breeders to verify ethical practices, rescuing mistreated or abandoned dogs, providing foster care, pet sitting, socialization, and arranging adventures for dogs awaiting adoption as well as existing clients' pets. Rather than blaming dogs for behavior issues, the group's members, many of whom are medical professionals, examine each animal's past traumas or current living conditions. Drawing upon expertise in psychology, physiology, and trauma, they seek to understand problematic behaviors through a compassionate lens. Driven by unconditional love for their four-legged companions, Pittsburgh Dog Lady champions dog welfare through rescue, responsible breeding advocacy, educational outreach, and direct services like pet sitting and dog walking. They encourage the public to report any suspected unethical breeders or puppy mills for investigation and to alert them immediately about dogs in need of rescue. The group's pet sitting services begin with an introductory meet-and-greet to assess each dog's unique needs. Overnight sitting is available either at the group's homes or the owner's residence, allowing dogs to remain in familiar surroundings if preferred. Monitoring cameras, photos, and videos provide owners peace of mind while their beloved pets receive diligent care and enriching daily adventures like walks, hikes, and swimming. With a hands-on, individualized approach that limits client volume, Pittsburgh Dog Lady has maintained an unblemished record of outstanding service since its founding years. Their overarching vision is to enlighten the community while enriching the lives of companion animals through ethical, loving practices.
