Our Story

Does your dog instinctively want to run and chase bunnies or squirrels or leaves or birds or.....? Then it is probably a good candidate for Lure Coursing, a great way for your dog to run and play safely at a game it loves!

Lure Coursing uses an artificial lure attached to a line, going at speeds of up to 40 miles an hour across an open field following a pattern that is meant to simulate live prey. Lucky Dogs Lure Coursing takes this concept and we have modified it to utilize a closed-loop continuous system and developed our own line of Lure Coursing Equipment. With our variable speed control and reversible direction we can accommodate all levels of athleticism and our equipment can scale up to almost any sized yard.

True, the Sighthounds are a natural for this event but Lucky Dogs believes all dogs deserve a chance to experience this wonderfully fun activity and we are open to all breeds. A well-exercised dog is healthier, better-behaved and just makes life easier for everyone. Lure Coursing is a great way for your dog to get the exercise it needs and have a blast doing it.

Our Traveling Course

Whether Indoors or Outdoors, our Custom Designed equipment is completely portable and quick to set-up making it a breeze to travel with which makes our services mobile. Lucky Dogs Lure Coursing will come out to your venue, festival or event location, set-up the Lure Coursing Machine, and install temporary fencing if necessary. We suggest an area of a 100' X 100', but a smaller course would be fine for smaller-breed dogs. We bring everything you need to host the most exciting doggie gathering ever, all you have to do is provide the dogs! We are always a hit at outdoor festivals, concerts and other pet based events because we provide a FULLY INTERACTIVE EVENT for the attendee's dogs to participate in! Yes your guest's furry friend becomes the center of the show!

Lure Coursing Equipment

The sport of lure coursing is rapidly increasing in popularity, and once you’ve taken a look at this activity in action, you’ll see exactly why.

Lucky Dogs realized we needed to build equipment to bring this sport to more people on a more accessible scale. Although our equipment is tough, it is not intended for full 600 Yard AKC pulls. There is equipment out there for that and it is awesome! But it is also a bit pricey for your average enthusiast, and bulky. Our Equipment is on a scale intended for trainers, rescue groups, boarding facilities, festivals and personal enthusiasts to practice, train and entertain!

Our equipment is designed to meet our demanding needs. As many of you have seen as we run all over the country with our equipment, we require a machine that can run all day long, run consistently and smoothly across all performance levels and never overheat no matter what the temperature.

Combine these requirements along with the same rigid standards applied to materials and hardware we selected for each component and we have created a machine we are proud of, now we give you "Reddy" The Machine.
