On 8/24/24, Deo went to the vet, and we received heartbreaking news: his condition has worsened. His wound has gone deeper, now attaching to his jugular vein, and the infection is spreading rapidly. We are doing everything we can to help him, but he desperately needs surgery for his polyps, and we need your support to make it happen. 💔

We’re thrilled to share that Billie has returned home after his stay at the Animal Medical Center! 🐾 Five of our amazing volunteers went to pick him up — a true testament to how much he is loved. ❤️

But Billy still needs your help! His recovery journey is ongoing, and the cost of saving his life was astronomical. We did everything in our power to give him a fighting chance, and now we’re asking for your support to help cover these life-saving medical expenses.

🐾 Help Billie Breathe: Urgent Medical Support Needed 🐾

Last night around 7 PM, while our volunteers were preparing food for our cat colonies, we heard a heartbreaking cry from our sweet resident cat, Billie. 😢 He was dazed, confused, and dry heaving, and with his asthma, we knew it was serious. We rushed him to the Animal Medical Center where they told us he’s in critical respiratory stress. 💔

His carbon monoxide levels are dangerously high at 76.9 (it should be 40!), and he’s still fighting to breathe. The vets believe scar tissue could be causing complications, and he needs to be closely monitored. 💔

Last night’s vet bill alone was $3,500, and we’re asking for your urgent support to help cover these costs. 🙏 Every volunteer at the rescue house is greeted by Billie’s loving meow, cuddles, and head bunts. He’s such a huge part of our family, and we’re heartbroken watching him struggle. 💔

Mario, now known as Socks, was rescued from Queensbridge after desperately clawing at a door trying to find food. Scared, hungry, but determined, we were able to capture him and bring him to safety. 🏡💙
