We are OPEN again!!! — with a slight change!! We are setting up on Friday Nights with LOCAVORES— Food Truck Friday!! 5-6p, so come and shop with us and have some yummy dinner too!!

Hard & sad truths:
Just like at a farmers market, producers stop attending when they can’t afford to continue to show up because they’re not selling enough products. Same principle applies here for any REKO, CO-OP or local General Store/Farmstand. If a community doesn’t support its local producers they stop offering it to the community. The producers then either go to the big cities where they’re supported or they have to shut down.

This is why it’s imperative to support our local small town food producers. You can support a local REKO and still attend your local farmers market. You’ll find different things at both venues. You don’t have to choose one or the other. Supporting local is what matters most!

REKO [POI— points of interest]

WHO— Local families, farms, bakers, canners, and producers come together in an online forum to connect to you, our community. We are happy you are here.

WHAT— It’s like an online farmers market where people purchase consumables from local producers based on what they have available that week. They post, you comment what you want to purchase. They confirm the order and you pay online via whatever method they prefer— then pick up on the specified day. For us, that day is Tuesday’s, 6-7pm @ TVCC, 100 Cardinal Dr, Athens, Tx. No money is exchanged at pickup. It’s perfect for the folks who can’t make it to the Athens, Tx Farmers Market on Saturday as well as giving an outlet to some smaller farms to sell without having a whole booth at Farmers Market.

WHEN— shop Wednesday- Monday. Pick up Tuesdays, 6-7p

WHERE— Pickups on Tuesdays, 6-7pm @ TVCC, 100 Cardinal Dr, Athens, Tx. No money is exchanged at pickup.

HOW—ALL ORDERS MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE, payments will not be accepted at the drop site. When your order is confirmed, please let vendors know you’ve paid!

To be certain your order has not been sold out please do not pay until you recieve a confirmation with total from the vendor.

NO SHOWS:
There are no sales at the pick-up site. There are no refunds for no shows. If you absolutely need to reschedule your pick up for the following week or another time, please let EACH vendor you have made purchases with know. Sellers will do their best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee availability to reschedule. Your purchase is your commitment to meet with us on Tuesday evenings 6-7 pm @ 100 Cardinal Drive, Athens, Tx. Thank you for understanding.
