Bailey was a very good boy for his annual exam with Dr. Bartelt!

We hold by the saying: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Regular wellness checkups help detect health issues early, when treatment is most effective. Preventing or detecting diseases before they become a problem helps keep your pet happy, and can also reduce overall vet expenses in the long term.

Have you ever seen your dog scooting across the floor, smelled a fishy smell when they pass by, or noticed them excessively licking their rears? Any of the above could mean your dog needs their a**l glands expressed.

Biscuit’s owner noticed these symptoms, and so he was brought in for a quick visit to get some relief!

There are times when physical exams alone don’t provide all the answers, and since pets can’t express how they feel verbally, additional diagnostics may be needed. Fortunately, we have a range of diagnostic tools to help us better understand your pet’s overall health.

Today we are featuring sweet Pebbles and BamBam, who are both rocking cones of shame after getting spayed and neutered.

Also known as an E-collar, these handy devices keep your pets from reaching their sutures or wounds. Our furry friends often find the collars to be a bit frustrating, and might try to wiggle free! Annoying as they may be, using them for the recommended length of time helps avoid complications that slow your pet’s recovery, such as infections or their surgery incision re-opening.

🍎📚Pop Quiz📚🍎
The E in E-collar is short for…
a) Easy
b) Elizabethan
c) Elephant
d) Epithelial

💕Let’s show some love
for our senior pets!💕

Advances in veterinary medicine have resulted in dogs and cats living longer than ever before! However, as our fur babies age they require additional care and attention.

Regular vet check-ups can catch age related problems early, helping to ensure your pet enjoys a longer, healthier life.
