Hours update ⚠️‼️

With the new year holidays coming up, we have a change in hours for today and tomorrow. Today from 9-11 we can accept appointments that don’t require the doctor present (tech appointments, medication pickup, etc), but Doc will be in today around 11 if your pet requires veterinary care. Tomorrow, we are closed in oversight for the holiday. Normal hours of operation resume Thursday the 2nd.

We believe that poverty should not have to affect whether a family can or cannot own a pet, and we work with local nonprofit AthensPets to continue to help the community with pet ownership and associated care. Every Tuesday and Friday we perform spays and neuters to assist along with their mission. We also offer low cost spays and neuters through our clinic for those who cannot go though AP and can’t necessarily afford a full price surgery.

Omega came in due to having urinary issues: a uti😨! He is on his way to recovery thanks to his wonderful owners getting him the help he needs at our clinic!

Did you know Doc is one of the few DVMs in the area that has a license to do health certificates for animals? We help with ACCAS to send many dogs and cats in the area on transport so that they can find a forever home, and these puppies are on their way to just that!

When Jack Daniels first arrived at our clinic at just a few weeks old: He had suspected herpes conjunctivitis. With dedicated treatment from our team—as well as thanks to one of our techs for getting him adopted by her roommate—he is back to being healthy (with a few boogers every now and then)! 🐱

Remember how we’ve been boarding that feral cat family our lead tech Reagan caught all the way back in May? Well, 3 of the kittens have been adopted and momma has been spayed and sent to ACCAS to hopefully find the perfect home fit for her! The 4th and final kitten is on a trial run right now to see if she can work as our clinic cat—hopefully her interview goes well😳! She’s plenty…pawlified (qualified???? Get it)🐱
