Bruising from a long unbalanced toe. He walked off moving much better!

An odd one today! This doesn't hurt her but was a birth defect her dew claws are just horn and she only grows one toe with a blood supply in it. The bruising is is from bearing weight on the one claw making it twisty aswell.

Please donate to freedom acres farm animal sanctuary in Oxford Ga. They just rescued this in pain neglected female mini pig. Her feet were in horrible shape she was unable to walk. Her long feet were bruised and painful. I trimmed her today and made her more comfortable and now she is up and walking again!

Overall this donkey has nice feet, she has a nice and balanced hoof. Down side is its in the beginning stages of with white line disease. Pretty common for donkeys here in the south, they just arnt made for our weather and starchy grasses.

PSA from you HCPs (hoof care professionals).
Using fly spray on 15 to 20 horses a day gets pretty pricey. To avoid us having to raise prices you may want to have your own fly spray available. We carry fly spay in case of emercencies cause it’s better than getting kicked or je**ed around. All natural is desired but anything is better than a horse whipping its tail around and kicking at its belly. 🙏😘🙏

Hamiltons owner has been desperately trying to find someone to trim his hooves for years she found a vet that attempted to do it but was hesitant about the big claw on one foot.
Thankfully when I got my hands on him turns out he was long but most of the bulk of that toe was dried on muck and dirt.

I have some of the best clients!

So many people have asked me about Hoof Armor and how to apply. I recommend it be done by professional the first time so you can see how it's done. The hoof has to be freshly trimmed and cleaned thoroughly... I use a wire brush. I apply to horses with thrush, thin soles, horses that are transitioning out of shoes or even the horse that is just tenderfooted. Only takes about 45 seconds to apply to freshly trimmed hoof! For me to apply it I charge $30 in addition to the trim itself.
