Meet Dipper!

Dipper is a male mixed breed young happy-go-lucky dog that would love to go home with someone for the holidays! ❄️

He is estimated to be around 8 months to a year old, and definitely has a lot more puppy left in him than his sister Mabel does. Dipper is very treat motivated and is ready to work on his basic obedience!

Meet Mabel!

Mabel is a very sweet lab mix estimated to be anywhere from 8 months to a year that is searching for her forever home this holiday season. She arrived at the shelter as a stray, along with her brother Dipper, and both were underweight. We're working to get them back to a healthy weight.

This young girl still has plenty of playful puppy spirit, but she's not overly energetic or hyperactive. She thrives on human attention and loves receiving plenty of pets and affection. She would definitely be an amazing companion for someone looking for a new bestie!

Meet Tucker! ❤️

Tucker is a 1-year-old Pittie mix who would love to spend this Christmas in his new forever home. He is affectionate, sweet, and would likely do well in a variety of homes!

He walks well on a leash, and has so much potential to train and learn new commands as he’s very treat motivated and eager to learn. Tucker is a big fan of toys and an even bigger fan of playing tug-of-war!

Meet Dasher, a resilient dog who was abandoned at our shelter in heartbreaking condition. Severely malnourished, he struggled to move around, and his teeth were in dire need of care. Fortunately, our dedicated vet clinic staff jumped into action, providing Dasher with the urgent dental attention he required.

Thanks to the loving support of his foster, Ms. Kathy, Dasher began his journey to recovery. With plenty of tender loving care, he slowly regained his health and discovered the joy of being truly cared for.

We're overjoyed to share that Dasher's happily ever after has finally arrived! Yesterday, he went to start his new life with his forever family. ❤️

When visiting a shelter, remember not to judge a dog based on its behavior in the kennel. Shelters can be extremely overwhelming, causing dogs to act out due to high stress and anxiety levels.

A perfect example is Onix. A young dog that was surrendered by his owners to a new, scary place. Onix was super over looked while in our shelter due to his large size, and anxiety in his kennel, until his perfect family came and rescued him from our shelter ❤️

After being at the shelter for Halloween and Thanksgiving, Leafy would be forever grateful to spend his first ever Christmas with his forever family!

Our sweet kitty greets everyone through the window of his room and is very affectionate to everyone who goes in to visit him. Leafy loves to cuddle in addition to chasing his various toys and playing with our office cat under the door.

Entering our shelter as a stray, Leafy came in with an awful upper respiratory infection and an injured leg he couldn't walk on. He has made incredible progress since being in our care and we would love to share his journey through these photos!

Leafy has stolen the hearts of our entire staff and we are certain he can steal yours too!

This gentleman had his heart set on finding the perfect pup, and as he's been doing some maintenance around our shelter, he's gotten to know our sweet residents. He's been searching for the ideal companion for his family, and his patience has finally paid off. Today, he brought home his top pick – the one and only Blitzen! Congratulations on your new furry family member, and happy Gotcha Day, Blitzen! ❤️

Update 12/16/24 - They have left the shelter together. These sweet babies got comfort from each other and we couldn't separate them.

Comet (M) & V***n ( F) are officially off of stray hold and are available for adoption. We are looking through all of their applications to find the best fit for them, and would prefer to have these sweet pups adopted out together as they’re presenting as a bonded pair

They are estimated to be around 3-4 years old and only weigh 7-8 pounds each. They are very affectionate and have lots of energy that will require a loving home that will enrich their little lives to the fullest. 🥰

We have wonderful news! Huge thank you to Wags and Walks for helping us out.
Wags and Walks Rescue, do incredible work saving dogs, and it warms our heart that Krampus and 3 other dogs were given a chance for new beginnings. They are on their way to finding their forever homes now.

Meet our longest resident of the shelter, Lancey!

Lancey is a 2 year old terrier mix that is sweet as can be, and deserves the most amazing home. She can make friends with anyone she meets, people, dogs, or cats. She truly is a social butterfly and is the happiest girl.

Lancey is the perfect medium-sized dog weighing 35 pounds. She was fortunate enough to get out of the shelter for a weekend and spend some time in a foster home, and they had nothing but good things to say about her! 🥰 (Not one accident in the house all weekend!!)
