Water Safety
☀️ Summer fun also means summer safety! Keep your dog safe around water this summer by practicing water safety, including:
🌊 Not leaving them unattended
🌊 Making sure they have a life jacket when in deep water
🌊 Keep fresh drinking water handy
🌊 Updating their Lepto vaccine, which prevents your pet from contracting diseases found in bodies of water

This sweet girl was found on Wheeler Lake (off Dogwood Ln). She’s relatively young, appears to be spayed and trained. No microchip found!
The fiercest predator in the sea!
She doesn’t let anything slow her down! Still looking for a home!
We didn’t want to get out of bed either!
Update on our stray pups! After a week or so of casting it became clear that Daphne had some neurologic damage to the arm and would not be able to use it at all. Rather than have her drag the limb, we made the difficult decision to amputate.
Here she is one 1 day post-op and she’s doing great!

Lessons are going…slowly.
These two little ones still need homes!

She is up to date on her vaccines, been spayed and has had her bad leg amputated. All she needs is a quiet home and this lovely girl will make someone a very sweet cat!
Owner found! Thanks so much for sharing!
Sweet girl found at the Doller General on Capshaw and E. Limestone. Chipped but not registered! She does appear to be spayed. Please call if you know who this is!
Fun Facts Friday about ear mites:
They’re hard to see with the naked eye..
Ear Mite Treatment can take 3-4 weeks and it is rare for humans to contract, but so easy for other animals. From eggs to adult, it’s 21 days, in that period of time your pet can have hundreds to thousands of mites in their body.
Luckily most flea prevention will kill and prevent these.
Is your cat current on flea/tick prevention?
This video is
from a kitten that was seen in our clinic.🐱🐾
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July!
