America’s favorite color, also happens to be the barn favorite this go around!
Delta is a 10 year old gelding registered with the Equines of America. He stands 14.2 hands and is the best shade of buckskin you could possibly ask for with frosting in his mane! He even has dapples in the summertime 😍.
Delta is a genuine jack of all trades type (if you scroll through our ads you’ll see that’s our favorite type of horse). He will track a cow, swing a rope, carry a flag, pack you around in English tack, take you to a ranch show…you name it, he’ll do it with a happy attitude.
Delta is very cowy and will pin his ears at and push cattle around. We don’t have the set up to “cut” or “sort” cows, but he might even have some of that training on him. We have used him to push cattle between pastures and he was very helpful. He rides English and will take you over a jump. In our program we have just done canter cross rails, but he does show the ability to do a 2’6 or better course and has automatic flying lead changes. In a prior program, Delta lived at a polo facility and was exposed to all the chaos and fun that brings along!
If ranch riding or ranch classes are more your speed, he has a low and level headset, a nice jog, and a perfect neck rein. He goes over obstacles, down a trail, and through water. He rides alone or in a group. We’ve not had him offer to spook at anything so far and we have seen a llama, pigs, deer, cows, and lots of dogs.
We would LOVE for Delta to stay in the barn…so if you’re local..please board him with us and take lessons from our trainer 🫣
