Bailey is getting better every hour;) he now follows me everywhere even the shower and waits in other sink while I brush my teeth. Ha
He is not afraid of the 4 big 70 pound dogs here and this morning is running around with the 3 cats here.

Bailey: A Journey of Progress

Date of Birth: February 15, 2024

Bailey was born in our rescue and initially adopted by a single woman. Unfortunately, due to her recent health issues, Bailey has returned to us.

During his time with his previous owner, Bailey lived in a relatively solitary environment. Consequently, when he first arrived back at my home, his behavior resembled that of a feral cat. However, over the past month, Bailey has made significant strides in his socialization and behavior.

He has shown remarkable improvement, but it is important to note that Bailey still needs a patient and understanding adopter. Building a bond with him will take time and effort, but the rewards will be well worth it.

To provide a glimpse into Bailey’s progress, I will share videos showing his behavior during the first two weeks in my care, compared to how he is now.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are willing to invest the time and love Bailey needs, he could become an incredible addition to your home.

This is why spaying and neutering is so important! Even if you see a stray, you can take it to LifeLine Animal Project LifeLine and drop it off to have it spayed neutered, and then release it for his little is probably $36 . Help be a solution. Help One Paw At A Time

📚 Our BACK TO BASICS SERIES: spaying and neutering

Let's continue our discussion on reproduction.....

SNiP Now shared this very informative post regarding female fertility and reproduction. They wrote:
"We have had a few calls from people worried their cats are in pain as they are exhibiting symptoms of yowling and other unusual behaviors (rubbing all over items). What these individuals are describing is their female cat having heat cycles which can occur in females as young as 4-months of age. Yowling, rubbing, raising the behind up in the air (lordosis reflex), spraying, the desire to go outside and find a mate...are all symptoms that can occur during a female cat's heat cycle. Sometimes females can appear more loving and other times females can have more aggressive tendencies during this cycle."

Remember that spaying a cat will eliminate these behaviors as well as help control the cat population. Please have your cat spayed by 4 months of age!

This is so sad!!!

From Renee Grindle: “Does anyone recognize this woman? She dumped dogs in 17° weather at 1am, on the Gordon County side at a friend's property. The dogs can not be located, the property owners looked for them when they saw the video. Hopefully they are still alive. If you recognize her and the car and/or the dogs ... please message me ASAP.”
