Bella came to Remedy with a wound near her eye that was causing her pain and cloudy vision. A dye test revealed a ruptured cornea and deep ulcer of her eye that would need to be treated with eye drops created from the dog's blood serum. However, as is common in smaller dogs, Bella was far too anxious for the team to safely collect her blood. This is where our canine hero, Jimmy, comes in!
As a Greyhound, Jimmy is considered a universal blood donor for other dogs. By carefully collecting his blood, we were then able to make the eye drops that Bella needed! Bella is now on her way to recovery thanks to the magic of modern veterinary medicine and help from an unexpected friend.
