Occult Kennel's Rocky Horror aka "Sunny".
Is looking for his forever family. Hes a small guy, wicketed today at the ABKC Atlanta Bully Marathon annual dogshow at a smidgen under 14 inches. His father is Champion Gumbo and his mother is OK's Moonlit Ritual(GrCh Oye Mickinbin daughter). Pictures of his parents included. Sunny is a super sweet boy, crate trained and great with cats. He loves toys and his tennis ball. He is pedigreed & registered ABKC and UKC, he would do great at a BRC dogshow aswell. Please feel free to messege us with any questions ❤️💕🥰

This gorgeous hunk of love is OK's Sunny. He is off of our girl OK's Moonlit Ritual(GrCh Mickinbin) and Double A's Champion Gumbo(GrCh Goose). Sunny is right at 14inches atw, and will stay Pocket variety. He's eleven months old today 04/08/24 and is available for adoption. He is show quality, and would do very well showing under his parent registry; the ABKC. He has beautiful temperament and does great with children and cats.

Please, if your family ever adopts a puppy or adult dog from my home, please excuse our guarded demeanor. We have had to deal with so much deceit. Our contracts are meant to protect our babies. I understand that some may consider our contracts to be a bit 'overbearing' but i promise i will never ever stop loving these dogs, even after their last breath. I breed American Bullies because i love this breed and i love these dogs with all my heart. I just want to check on them and make sure they're okay. We consider you our family, and I'll do whatever you need; answer whatever questions you may have, if it helps you. We are in this together and I'll always do what's best for my kiddos. If you ever need help, just ask. If you're going through a divorce or a move, i can board them in my home so they arent in a stressful boarding facility. I can and will always take them back if you can nolonger keep them. We are in this together for the love of our fur-babies and that will never change. Also, much love to Andre Hughes who has been sending me almost monthly updates and pictures of little Mala for the last 3 & 1/2 YEARS. Andre, you're the real MVP and bless you! - Occult Kennels ❤️

Just incase somebody out here is curious.

Before kibble, dogfood was canned potted meat slurry mixed with bread or crushed grain or oats.

James Spratt introduced the first commercially-prepared pet food in England in approximately 1860. Its was a potted(in a jar)product, as the food had to last.

The first commercial kibble was not invented until 1956, using a process called “extrusion”. Dog food manufacturers created early forms of kibble by over-cooking meat into a concentrated powder then adding pressure to it to form protein-based solids similar to modern kibble.

Today, all dogfood products have restrictions and guidelines regarding calories and nutrition. Kibble is formulated by nutritionists so that it meets a specific expectation.

Im sorry but i hate people who push raw with the sales pitch that its better for the dog. Each dog is different and some dogs flourish on kibble. Some dogs flourish on raw. I personally tried raw and after a month, still could not get a solid stool from anyone. Everyones experience is different.



As someone who has a dog with environmental allergies and sees our allergist regularly, I'll quote her when she said, " out of all the dogs that have an allergy panel done only 10% come back as food related and less than 1% come back as poultry(chicken).

If you want to indulge in "holistic" dogfood, please go to a LICENSED ALLERGIST and make sure your issue is even dogfood related.

Nutritionists are cool but not every barber gives a good haircut if you get what i mean. " Holistic oils have killed dogs and caused renal failure and kidney failure. I beg of you, please take your dog to a LICENSED ALLERGIST. Its quick, its easy, you get your results emailed to you and can adjust accordingly.

The "ugly puppy phase" happens in every breed, regardless of type of dog. Hormones have a LOT to do with how their bone structure develops(obviously genetics dictate the finished product).

Find an educated & ethical breeder. Ask them questions!

"What was the purpose of this breeding?"
"What about the parents deemed them worthy of being bred?"

Ask about confirmation titles. Ask about health testing. If the dog doesn't fit the standard, why bother with health testing? Why breed more off-standard dogs?

Remember, doodle breeders sometimes health test too, and god knows we dont need more doodles. Shelter dogs can get health tested(and need to be). Street mutts can be health tested.

Just because a dog is capable of reproducing doesnt mean it needs to be bred.

Lets say you've networked and researched your heart out and asked a million questions. You've picked a breeder whom you like, and you approve of both parents and want to put a deposit on a puppy.

Your breeder should have interviewed you to make sure you're fit for a puppy from their litter. You may have filled out a questionaire and read over a contract regarding the puppy.

The contract is there first and foremost to protect the puppy. If the puppy is meant to be an active showdog, there may be outlines within the contract stating the dog must be shown a minimum number of times per year. Or that the dog must complete its show title(s) & complete health testing before ever being bred. The contract may require spay/neuter once the dog is 2 years old if it is meant to be only a pet. Again, the contract it meant to scare away would-be backyard breeders and puppy mills.

Our goal as responsible breeders is to protect our puppies and make sure they're never abused in a backyard breeding program or dumped at a shelter. There are too many dogs in shelters as it stands.

You've jumped through all the hoops. You've passed all the tests. You've aquired your puppy and are living a wonderful life with your new best pal.

Months go by when suddenly...what is this??

Why is my puppy so ugly?! Why are his ears so long? Why are his legs so long? Why is he sooo lanky? His face is so long! He didnt look like this before!

Think of your puppy like a pre-teen human kid. They get tall and lanky. They eat you out of house and home. But eventually they fill out when they're grown.

If the foundation is there, just relax and enjoy your new baby. Let them grow and mature. It will all be okay.

Bayou made the long trek from south Atlanta up through New York and into New Hampshire Sunday morning. She was escorted by the ever-so-polite Michael Baldwin and their journey took 32 hours over the course of 2 days. She's finally home with her new family and getting settled in. I can't thank you Danielle Bishop enough for being such a perfect fit for Bayou. Here's to a bright future ✨️ 💛
