VORTEX IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!!! He goes to his new mom, dad, and siblings (human and dog) on Saturday!!!! They fell in love with him through pictures and videos and made the commitment today. We are SO sad to see him go but THRILLED that he has found his family.

I was so good for the trick-or-treaters that came by! My foster sister is trying all sorts of fashion shots to put me in my best light. I had another adoption inquiry, but the person somehow thought I was yorkie-sized. I don’t like those small dogs at all and it didn’t seem to be a good fit.

Didn’t even meet the adopter but I was passed over. Still looking for a home!!

Vortex has a meet with a potential adopter this weekend! J is getting in all the cuddles. Oddly enough, she’s been the most vocal about Vortex not being a foster fail, because she wants to keep fostering dogs. Vortex fans, hints?? We are doing a meet with the human first, and if all goes well then a meet with the resident dog (who looks just like Vortex, but a little bigger).

I’ve always been curious about little kids, and today I had a positive encounter with a 5 year old! She was a little scared of me at first l, but then she gave me some muffin from Taj Ma-Hound Gourmet Dog Treats and I was so gentle! Then she fell in love and I modeled as she took so many pictures!!
Although I think I love little kids, I do NOT like little dogs, oddly specifically little white dogs. Any of them, and I met many of them. My foster mom is going to learn more about that, unless someone here has advice.

What an adventure today! We walked up to this huge picnic, where jazz music was playing in Oakhurst, where I walked last night for dinner. On the way I saw kids on scooters and bikes and although I looked at them, I didn’t pull
 or bark. At the picnic though, I did say hello to some dogs when I saw them, but I am working on the calm command. I think I did pretty good since that was my first time since the shelter when I’ve been surrounded by so many dogs. When I walked by someone with food that I went to smell, I listened to foster mom when she said, “No!” I watched tons of kids run by with Popsicles in their hands, and although I looked at them, I wasn’t aggressive or barking at them. I was super curious about the little kids. I had my first trip to a patio in Oakhurst tonight! We walked to Ford’s BBQ. The smells were amazing! The lovely lady that brought my foster family food fell in love with me, and even though her dog-family is full, she took my picture and is sharing my info with her friends! A family with three little kids sat down next to us and I looked at the kids then ignored them. The food smelled good, but I let my foster family eat in peace. I had a great time and I even saw this giant werewolf and it was weird at first, my foster family assured me he was friendly.

Getting suuuper comfortable at this foster house. I’m so adaptive and quick at learning new rules!!

Hi all! I went back to the shelter for a couple of days, then a new family took me to foster! I’m living with a really big dog, a 12 year old human, and two adult humans. I’ve remembered all of my manners, including going outside to use the bathroom, sit, and I’m perfectly fine hanging out in my crate when they are gone and at night. I go out for walks and I love exploring this new neighborhood! I know I’m only here temporarily and I can’t wait to meet my forever family!

Hi all!
Hoping we can find a solution to a current dilemma.
Our favorite shelter boy, Vortex, is NOT cat friendly. His current family who was FTF won't be able to keep him and are devastated because they love him so much. He is, however, KID, DOG, and CHICKEN friendly! They also can't praise him enough for being a quick learner and responding to redirections. They want to hold on to him until we can either find a foster take over or a new family and DCAS has approved this.
I, now, have Grandma Darly aka Darla.
So...

Are there any fosterers looking for a dog who is already decompressed and you don't have cats?
Any fosterers who might have a better fit and can do a swap with the family?
Anyone who wants to take Darla and I take Vortex back? Darla needs a spay and heartworm tx though. I am willing to do both of these for her.

Foster Life Day 6 I’m still living the dream in my foster home but looking for my forever home too!! My foster mom complains that I leave my kongs in the furtherest corner of my mansion crate on purpose. I think it’s funny watching her crawl in to get them! 🐶 She says I’m a good boy for coming in the house and going directly to my room! She took me to the tennis court to run around tonight. Watch how I did!!
