What began as a hobby training hunting dogs grew into a lifelong passion for training, handling and breeding working dogs with competence, athleticism and an unparalleled desire to do their job perfectly. Since discovering French Ring Sport in 1994 Robert has coached and competed at numerous protection sport events including operating as a helper at over 30 IPO/Schutzhund trials and serving as cha
irman of the helper committee to the AWMA. He has been the head trainer to 4 national champions and 8 world championship qualified teams. Dogs trained by Robert are currently serving communities from high level competition dogs(AKC obedience champions, hunting champions, French Ring/Schutzhund National Champions, and more), local police departments to militaries around the world. His company, Arete Canine, based out of Atlanta- Robert works with pet dogs, obedience, police departments, and private competition clients. Robert also travels all over the country giving seminars in a variety of sports. Robert is head trainer, and founder of Atlanta Working Dog Club which several of his students have ranked as National Champions, and competed in the World Championships every year since 2002. They can be found on Tuesday's and Saturdays at Jim Miller Park in Marietta GA, or Breezy Hill in Woodstock GA.
