My Fourth clutch hatched over the last two days and there is an assortment of good looking animals in it! The breeding was a Pastel Mojave Enchi Yellow Belly High Intensity Orange Dream bred by a High Intensity Orange Dream Enchi possible Calico. I think after these shed and color up a bit they are going to be really nice.

Happy World Snake Day Everyone! This is my Pastel Yellow Belly Gene-X Pied that hatched out in 2018 with no eyes. He acts just like a normal Ball Python in every way and has even bred a few girls. He is the only one of my snakes that I consider a pet and he has no normal Ball Python shyness. He is my buddy.

This weekend (Saturday and Sunday July 13 &14) Atlanta Repticon returns to the Gwinnett Count Fairgrounds. I will be there with my long time partner Frank and his lovely wife Tiffany at our regular tables to the left of the restrooms in the main building. I will have my usual selection of pet to investment quality Ball Pythons. Frank will have his selection of Ball Pythons, a couple of Sumatran Black Short tailed Pythons, and possibly some of the great looking Womas he recently hatched. Tiffany will have her tumblers, pens, and her Axolotls on display. The show is 9:00 till 4:00 on Saturday and 10:00 till 4:00 on Sunday. Please stop by and say hello and buy something from the three of us. We look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces.

My first clutch crawled out yesterday and today. Four of the eggs went bad, one stillborn, and these two made it. Breeding was Super Orange Dream Enchi to a Black Head Mojave Enchi Yellow Belly Red Gene Ringer Gene. The one is really colorful but not the same as mom. I am going to give her the year off next season and try again the following season.

Clutch number five was four good looking eggs from this Calico Het Paint to a Mogwai Yellow Belly Paint. I only witnessed one breeding with these two and they separated so quickly I never got a picture of them locked. This boy must be pretty potent and has fathered two clutches for the season with a very limited amount of breedings.

Clutch number three was five pretty good looking eggs from this Pastel Calico Het Paint to a Mogwai Yellow Belly Paint. This clutch was somewhat of a surprise. This girl was around 1300 grams and like I do every once in a while I introduced a male to her to get her eating again. She ate two more meals after the breeding but then quit so I stopped breeding her. I just found the wrapped around this clutch. Time will tell if it is good or not.

Clutch number two was eight beautiful eggs from this Orange Dream Yellow Belly girl bred by a Barnhart line Black Pastel Calico Orange Dream. I have been very lucky is obtaining additional genes before breeders had figured out the genetics in some of their animals. I am hoping this in another one of those times. I purchased the male from Chris Hernan in 2020 around the time he hatched out “El Diablo” and before he figured out the Scrambler gene. That would be a very nice bonus if by chance he does have the Scrambler gene but even if not this clutch should have some killer looking animals in it. The first picture is mom on the eggs and the second one is the male in question.

The first clutch of the year was five good eggs, one b**b egg, and one that already went bad from this Black Head Mojave Enchi Yellow Belly Red Gene girl bred to a Super Orange Dream Enchi. I am hoping to produce her with Orange Dream on top and I wouldn’t mind an extra Enchi gene also. I did the same breeding last season and missed so maybe this year I will hit it.

I am not sure which of these I like better the Super Enchi Fire Poss. Yellow Belly Super HI Orange Dream on the left or the Pastel Enchi Orange Dream Desert Ghost on the right? Both are in my hold back rack.

All of this rain we are getting here in the Atlanta area is good for one thing, getting the snakes to breed. Out of seven pairings I did yesterday morning all but two have been locked up together including this Super Orange Dream Pastel Enchi Yellow Belly girl being bred by a visual Paint. I have to get some Orange Dream into my Paint project and this breeding would do the trick.

With this clutch I have more questions than answers. I bred a Gold Leaf Female which is a Dinker project I am working on to one of her sons a Pastel Fire Orange Dream Het Gold Leaf and produced the following clutch. The question is how did I produce Hypo’s? I am guessing The Gold Leaf girl is also Het Hypo and passed it on to her son or the sire of him is also Het Hypo. I checked all of the breedings that produced the Sire and I do not think it is him but Hypo is in a lot of my Pastel stuff so who knows. Hopefully after they shed I will see more of what is going on? The first picture is of the clutch and the second one is the Gold Leaf Dinker girl.

You win some and you lose some. I bred what everyone thought was an Orange Dream Desert Ghost to an Orange Dream Enchi Yellow Belly Het Desert Ghost and hatched out this clutch. As you can see there are five Ivories in the clutch so my Orange Dream Desert Ghost hast to be an Orange Dream Yellow Belly Desert Ghost. I still probably would have done the breeding any way just rolled the dice and would have hoped to not hit too many Ivories but to get five. Hopefully I can see something in them after they have fed and shed a few times. Anyone have an Orange Dream Desert Ghost breeder male they want to trade for an Orange Dream Yellow Belly Desert Ghost proven breeder male?

My Pastel Mocha Yellow Belly Lace to a Super Pastel Lace clutch hatched the other day and at first I didn’t think I had hit any White Lace combos. I thought they would be much more radical looking with the black speckling coming up from the belly. I went to MorphMarket to see what was available since I wanted to get a White Lace male to speed this project along. I saw the White Lace that CV Exotics (the originator of the Lace project) had available and they had some Pastel and Super Pastel White Lace offered and they were not very radical looking either. I guess I will reevaluate them after they shed and put on a bit of weight since a couple of them look promising compared to theirs. If you see anything in this photo please let me know.

Another clutch was out over the last couple of days. This one was from a Black Head Sauce Yellow Belly Red Gene Ringer Gene to a Mojave Enchi. I didn’t get any of those red snakes from the Enchi Mojave Black Head combos but I have a few more tries for those but some of them look interesting.

Another pretty cool clutch hatched over the weekend. The cool thing about doing a local show is you can still take care of the animals after the show each day. The breeding was a Super Orange Dream Pastel Fire to a Lesser Leopard. I really like the assortment of what hatched out and I am looking forward to seeing what they look like after their first shed.

My fireworks for yesterday was clutch number fourteen nine good eggs and one b**b egg from this Gold Leaf girl bred by a Pastel Fire Orange Dream Het Gold Leaf. Gold Leaf is a Dinker project I have been working with since 2008. I obtained an Armitage line of Fire from Dan Wolfe in 2008 that just seemed to have something else going on. In 2010 I produced a female from him that was not a Fire but looked different from a regular normal. In 2014 I bred the original father back to that girl and produced the Gold Leaf a very high-gold looking animal. I thought breeding her to Orange Dream might be a great combo so in 2020 I bred her to a Super Orange Dream Pastel Fire to produce Het Gold Leaf. One of the babies was the male Pastel Fire Orange Dream Het Gold Leaf that I used in this breeding. Now the wait begins to see what Orange Dream Gold Leaf looks like. I think it should be pretty cool but time will tell.
The first picture is of her on the clutch and the second one is the best picture I have of her that shows what she looks like.

Clutch number thirteen was eight good ones and two slugs from this Fire Yellow Belly Hidden Gene Woma girl bred by a Gravel Mojave Pastel Fire. I am looking for some Highway combos out of this clutch. I am hoping that I do not hit many Super Fires but I was willing to take a chance with some of the very cool combos I could make with this breeding.

Clutch number twelve was eight good ones, one b**b egg, and one slug from this Orange Dream Enchi Yellow Belly Het Desert Ghost girl bred to a Orange Dream Desert Ghost. That is a pretty nice clutch for a first year mom. This will be my second chance at Super Orange Dream Desert Ghost so I hope I get a male out of one of them.
