At our kennel, Caine de Lup, we are very selective in our breeding program in order to preserve the working line qualities of a German Shepherd. We take close looks at both parents pedigrees and their strengths and weaknesses, in order to produce the best puppies. Our dogs produce puppies that will be suitable in different fields, such as pol

ice dogs, family dogs, protection dogs, explosive dogs, search and rescue and sport dogs. Here at Caine de Lup, we strive to match every puppy with your specific intended need. From day 1, we spend time with each puppy in order to determine the personal traits that the puppy will develop. We constantly interact with the puppies, stimulating them in new environments, other dogs, and sounds in order to build up their confidence and to make sure we can produce a level headed dog. All of our dogs, adults and puppies, are routinely vet checked. They are also all on site. We have all FCI pink papers from our imported dogs, and AKC information for the dogs that have been whelped in the United States.

Words can’t express how full our hearts are that we were able to partner up with Make-A-Wish Georgia and be able to grant this beautiful, courageous and amazing little girls wish to have a puppy she could call her own!

Great to see one of our pups turn out to be the exact reason why we breed these specific lines. Good job Sgt. Chandler and K9 Falon.

On 08/21/21, VPD Officers were dispatched to a Sanford St. residence for the report of Domestic Violence. Upon investigation is was learned that the male suspect had physically assaulted his fiancé and then fled the scene prior to Officer’s arrival. An arrest warrant was subsequently applied for and granted.

On 08/23/21, VPD Sgt. Reising observed the suspect in his driveway entering a vehicle. The suspect then fled the area on foot into the Valley View area. VPD Units set up a perimeter and Sgt. Chandler and his Partner, K-9 Falon, were called out from home to assist. Sgt. Chandler arrived on scene and K-9 Falon was deployed to conducted a track for the suspect in a densely wooded area. The K-9 Unit, with the assistance of Ptl. Davis and Ptl. Sargent, entered the woods to search for the suspect. K-9 Falon proceeded to lead the Officers directly into the woods approximately 100 yards and alerted to the suspect hiding under a large log in a ditch. The suspect then surrendered to K-9 Falon without putting up any resistance.

The suspect, identified as Erik Khoury (age 45) of Vermilion, was charged with Domestic Violence and Obstructing Official Business. He was transported to the Erie County Jail with no bond and a court date of 08/24/21.

No Officers, K-9 Falon, or the suspect were injured during the arrest. This is a great example of the value of our VPD K-9 Unit and of the teamwork within the VPD.
