The fact that this sweet girl has the capacity to love after humans failed her so horribly is something that boggles my mind. If you donāt know, this is Grace. She is longest pup at the shelterā¦over 1000 days. š„².

Hi, my name is Grace. I know several people have written about me to help me get adopted. But Iām still here so I decided to write about me in hopes
someone will adopt me. A bit of my history, I used to live in Flint, in a place that was not good for me. Strange people would bring their male dogs and make me breed to them, I didnāt want to but they held me so tight I couldnāt get away. This happened more than once, and I had puppies more than once. Most of the time I lived on a chain outside unless I had pups then they would bring me and my babies inside and put us in a small hall closet where I would stay till strangers came and got my babies. There was a kind lady that would bring me straw to keep me warm and food to help me with my hunger, she was so nice to me, then one day she was talking to my owner and next thing I knew I was off the chain and heading north. I was taken to this shelter where I have lived for nearly 3 years, and I am only 4 years old. Life here at the shelter has been wonderful compared to where I lived. I have good friends and Iām so loving and kind, I try my best to get as close as I can possibly get. I really would love to have a home to call my own! Since I had so many strangers that helped do bad things to me, Iām not always keen on meeting new people, it takes a few times for me to trust that you arenāt here to hurt me. As for other dogs, I donāt like them much or cats. But I do like people, in fact I would be the biggest couch potato lying next to you if only someone would give me the chance to give my love. Saturday Spotlight!! Who remembers Jasmine? Sheās been here for over a year. This little lady was saved from euthanasia as she was pregnant. She delivered her pup here at the shelter who fortunately found their Furever family. Jasmine is about 13 years old but Iām telling you, this little lady has a lot of love and life in her. She had so much fun running in the yard. Sheād love a home to spend her golden years in. Will you be her hero?
