It was definitely a day for layering!! A crazy day today starting with great cold weather wear and ending having to close early due to the storm. Even trying to rush out one of our team members got abandoned in our Atlanta rail system when the buses all stopped running and one of our team is spending the night in a hotel walking distance from where she had to abandon her car! Needless to say, we will be closed tomorrow until the ice is passable. We hope everyone is safe wand warm and we can’t wait to see more outfits when we can get back to the clinic!

Thank you for so much positive feedback on our new lobby. We thought our old chairs were nice but as it turns out Charles and Ray Eames didn’t actually think about dogs when they designed them!?! So far we have a five paw rating on our new chairs. So much so that the humans are often left standing! Maybe we will get chairs for you guys next time.

Wishing everyone the happiest holiday! We hope everyone has a joyous and peaceful holiday season! Briarlake Animal Hospital will be closed on December 24th and 25th. We will be open with normal hours on Thursday December 26th.

This past weekend we were at our kids’ swim meet in Athens GA and were happy to visit a few of our old haunts from our days. On a walk in a park we met . It’s no secret we love our corgis and to meet this super happy guy in a wheelchair made our weekend! It’s this type of dedication Pancake’s mom has that drives us everyday! ❤️ As an aside, Pancake’s veterinarian, , is the same vet we used to go to when we were in vet school. Small world!

Today is the day folks! If you haven’t done so already please go and have your stentorian voice heard! If you come in with your voting sticker we will have a puppy for you to pet. That’s all we have to offer because we don’t have millions to buy votes. …but it’s better anyway.

No exploding kittens here! We hope everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July!! We will all be staying home keeping our dogs calm so we will be closed on Thursday July 4th. We will be back on the office for regular hour on Friday July 5th. See you then!

It was easy to get one of them to smile! Try as we might the second we picked up the camera this sweet little one would immediately stop her tail wagging and give us this side eye. 😂 We had to post the picture anyway! She is one of seven who walks by our house everyday! ❤️❤️❤️

We could not love this guy more! So happy he is doing great after his recent procedure. He can’t see but he will nuzzle up if he feels you close. I know, it melts our hearts too.

Happy National (International?) Puppy Day!!! We had so much fun meeting this sweet girl! She is going to be a great addition to a very loving home! It is our honor to be a part of the incredible joy that is to bring home a new family member!

There was some fake news going around the hospital that it was national puppy day yesterday. It was actually national Biodiesel Day. Well, the only thing we love more than an old Mercedes that smells like French fry oil is a puppy. So happy early National Puppy Day! We loved meeting this little guy yesterday! He has found himself a great dad and we are so happy for them both! National puppy day is later this week so we’ll be back for more!
