Not all heroes have capes. Some have paintbrushes! 🎨

We're so grateful to for creating beautiful hand-painted portraits of some of our shelter pups. These incredible works of art not only help bring more awareness to these sweet pups but also add a special touch for their future adopters. 💕

Here's what our amazing artist had to say: "I am now the proud foster mom of Jasper if anyone wants a gorgeous lab mix! But also, I’m a professional pet portrait artist, and when I’m in between ccommissions,I love to paint the most at-risk shelter babies to try and get them adopted 😊."

Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of our pups! 🐾

Pictured are our pups, Ballerina, Moon Pie, ms. Peaches and Draco. Not in order.

Both Fulton and DeKalb County Animal Services are facing a critical situation due to severe overcrowding. We urgently need the community’s help to find homes for dogs that are struggling the most in our shelter environments.

This week, a combined total of 41 dogs need adoption or fostering by Tuesday, 9/10. If these dogs aren't placed by the deadline, they may face euthanasia due to the lack of space and the immense stress they are experiencing. Our teams work tirelessly to assess each dog’s well-being and provide every chance for survival, but we can't do this alone.

Your involvement is crucial. You can make a difference by advocating for these dogs and sharing this message. Help us maintain humane conditions in our shelters by visiting Fulton Animal Services at 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd. or DeKalb Animal Services at 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA.

All adoptions are free until September 10. Due to the high volume of animals in need, we aren’t able to monitor this post closely. If you want to help, please visit the shelter where our staff will guide you through the adoption process and answer any questions.

We are out of space in the shelter. Over 20 dogs arrived just today.

We urgently need to find homes for at least 40 dogs by noon tomorrow (Wednesday 9/4). We are extending our adoption hours until 8pm tonight to help save lives.

Please come adopt or foster a dog at Fulton County Animal Services at 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd, Atlanta, GA.

Clear the Shelters ends on the 10th, and we still have hundreds of precious animals waiting for a loving home.

Each one is ready to fill your life with love and joy. As the campaign is ending, let's create one last big push. We need your help to make their dreams come true.

Please share with your animal-loving friends and family. Together, we can give these deserving souls the happy endings they’ve been waiting for. ❤️

We have six dogs remaining on our urgent list who need to be adopted or fostered by the end of today, Tuesday, September 3rd by 7pm. If these dogs are not placed by the deadline, they may face euthanasia due to our critical lack of space and the immense stress they are under. These decisions are heartbreaking, and our team works tirelessly to evaluate each dog's health and well-being while balancing the need for humane housing.

We are striving to maintain humane capacity in our shelters, and we need your help to advocate for these dogs. Your role is crucial. By sharing this message, you can help us reach others who might be able to provide a home. Together, we can make a difference and ensure these dogs find the loving homes they deserve.

Please note: due to the high volume of animals in need, we aren’t able to closely monitor this post. If you are looking to help, please visit the shelter directly 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd., Atlanta, Ga

Can you foster or adopt a cat? Homes are urgently needed for cats and kittens at Fulton County Animal Services. Like many shelters across the nation, we currently have a few positive cases of Feline Panleukopenia and have implemented protocols to minimize the spread of the disease and keep our cats healthy. We need your help! We have over 140 cats and kittens in our care that need homes.

All kittens and cats 4+ weeks of age receive the FVRCP vaccine before leaving the shelter, but if you have resident cats at home, we advise a 14 day separation to ensure the health and safety of all feline pets. Our teams will provide more information on safety protocols and will match you with a cat that best meets your needs.

To foster, please sign up at LifeLineAnimal.org/foster-cats and then visit Fulton County Animal Services at 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd. NW to be matched with an adult cat, young kittens, or a family in our care.

To adopt, visit the shelter and we'll help you find a great companion. Adoptions are free during Clear The Shelters.

Help spread the word! Many dogs have been arriving lately, and we currently have 583 dogs at LifeLine's DeKalb County Animal Services. The shelter is severely overcrowded, and these dogs urgently need your help.

is still going on this month, making it the ideal time to consider adopting or fostering a dog from our shelter. This is a very challenging moment for both the animals in our shelter and the teams that care for them. We need your help to get these pups into loving homes outside of our shelter.

If we could find homes for just 6% more animals, it would make a huge difference. That would mean 34 more dogs leaving our shelter for loving homes, reducing overcrowding and allowing us to focus on the pets who need our help the most.

Can you help us make a difference today? Adopt. Foster. Donate. Volunteer. Share this post with your community!

THEY NEED YOUR HELP! This weekend 68 dogs came into our crowded shelter. For the safety and health of the dogs and their caregivers, we need to reach a manageable shelter capacity which means we must find homes for at least 35 dogs in the next two days. We need homes for pups of all ages and sizes.

Check out some of the sweet faces that came in this weekend including this sweet girl, Mamacita, and her family of five. We have less than 48 hours to help save lives. Please come to the shelter to adopt or foster. All adoption fees are waived during the current Clear the Shelters event. Fulton County Animal Services
