We've always loved celebrating special days, and today is an extra special one for us!

It marks 11 years since we launched our in-custody program at Fulton County Jail. That's 11 years of transforming lives, rescuing dogs, learning, growing, and making countless memories. It's been 11 years filled with smiles, hugs, tears, and an enduring desire to make an even bigger impact.

Through all these years, you've been there for us. Our community has grown to over 20,000 strong, yet your spirit of support remains unchanged. You've cheered us on, sent items from our wish list, offered virtual hugs, and shared in our tears. Your presence has always been felt, and it means the world to us.

Today, on our 11th anniversary, we're asking for your support. A donation of just $11 – one dollar for each year of this life-changing work – can make a significant difference. Zuko is the squishiest squat boy with a heart of mush. He’s the perfect fishing partner or porch buddy. Happy as a clam to just chill with his ball.

Rescue doesn’t mean damaged—it means these dogs have been let down by humans at some point. But despite that, they become amazing friends, teachers, and helpers. They offer incredible emotional support for those dealing with depression, PTSD, anxiety, and more. Plus, caring for rescue dogs teaches kids about compassion and responsibility. These wonderful dogs truly make us better people.

He’s truly a gem, but adoptions are down and the number of dogs are up across GA and the U.S. To continue saving dogs, we need to find wonderful homes for our graduates first. Now more than ever, we need your help spreading the word about our amazing dogs. Bronco will be your best friend, snuggle and Netflix buddy, adventure pal, your right-hand man, and your very own treat connoisseur. All you need to do is come meet him and the rest is history ❤️. Not to mention, he’s trained in basic obedience and is so, so smart. Oh hey.
This seems like an appropriate time to announce formally the temporary closure of most of Peaceful Pets ATL services.
This is so we can take some time for our own deep emotional lives.
Sadly, when humans learn to desensitize, it doesn't come with a click and treat! Due to multiple losses in the family, we'll be taking some time to sniff the grass.

Meet today's eligible bachelorette...Sierra! She's a beautiful lab who's possibly mixed with some Great Dane as well. Sierra is tall, elegant, and has a wonderful temperament. Sounds like a perfect catch, right? Unfortunately, Sierra was adopted and returned after one night, but here's hoping she'll find that perfect person to give her a happily-ever-after!

Sierra is located in the Atlanta area. She is fully vetted, on heartworm preventative, and is being trained in basic obedience. Sierra is available for immediate adoption and will be ready to go to her new home in mid-December. This is the angel face boy that I called Caddy
I still agree with me and that is a way better name than Thor but to each their own. He's an absolute sweetheart of a dog and has headstrong but affectionate temperament seems to shine through.

Caddy the Dogo got some farm socialization today! He did a play about to the horses and so far has done pretty well with socialization, meeting a kitty cat he naps with, and a couple of dogs. He does seem a bit more skeptical of male dogs that are large sure or comparable size.

Caddy still needs to pay surgery cost from his accident, he will need to be neutered when the growth plates have sealed and the vet recommends for a larger dog, Caddy needs medication for flea and heartworm and he has little to no supplies.
What you see is flipped up and lanced up to fit him LOL please consider donating and if you cannot donate then please share!!!
If you have some of the supplies that are similar to things that are on the Amazon wish list, please let me know, the supplies do not by any means need to be new! He is happy with hand-me-downs!!!
Anything over will be going to other rescues if you know me you know that another large rescue dog was really not on my itinerary at the Meatball Motel but who can say no to that sweet face, so please help us out!!!

I would like to be able to pay for his prior surgery and his medications and his late owner's family does not have to do anything but grieve their loved one right now. 💔💔
