Raise your hand if you’re taking your dog’s training too seriously (🙋🏻‍♀️). I mean…yes…you should take your dog’s welfare *seriously* but if we take our dog’s training TOO seriously and skip the joyful moments in-between, we are missing the point.

The point of training is communication. To enjoy life together. To not burn out and get frustrated when our dogs aren’t “perfect” (or we aren’t “perfect”, am I right?).

So proud of team Kaya! This little lady is silly, happy, learning how to appropriately meet her husky-cattle dog-Esq needs, watches the world go by with ease while continuing to come out of her shell and self soothe to feel more and more secure around other dogs in the near future.

Her caretakers have been putting in the work and so excited to see how much more she blossoms in the coming months!

Training is never linear, especially for reactive dogs with big feelings. Overtime, we can develop go-to ways on how to best help our dog and ourselves bounce back on those tough *rufffff* days so that our pups spend less time in a stressed state, and more time feeling ease and contentment 🖤🐾

When we first get a dog it can be DAUNTING. ✨This is especially true when our new dog has some residual physical discomfort that is being professionally treated while they are also adjusting to their new home, new humans, new schedule, and brand new (exciting!) life. ✨

🏴‍☠️ Slow down your walks (who else’s dog walks at turtle speed in the heat 🙋🏻‍♀️)

🏴‍☠️ Savor the present moments (highly recommend putting your phone away on sniff walks)

🏴‍☠️ Sit and Watch the World Go By on a bench (60 second bench sitting is harder than it sounds friends…)
