We are currently only offering TNR services. We can not house cats at the moment we don't have a building to do so and no longer have someone who is able to house and rehab the sick cats we used to take in. (they moved 🥲) so going forward we are only able to spay/neuter and vaccinate stray and feral or barn cats. (Im hoping to rehab cats again in the future but its not in the cards right now). Per our vet partners new rules these services have to be paid at time of service. A lot of cat groups have been forced to shut down due to lack of funding and lack of space, which is why TNR is so important. Reality is there are not enough homes to house all the stray cats and not every cat is a good candidate for indoor life. With mass sterilization we can humanely tackle the root of the problem, the birth of hundreds of kittens each year.
Talk to your town representatives and encourage them to participate in TNR. If we all work together, local vets, city officials, and the other TNR groups in the area, we could tackle this issue sooner then later and make a real difference.
Who has thousands of homes in mind where these kittens can go? No one. There is nowhere for them to go! Shelters and rescues are overwhelmed. Euthanasia is happening to healthy animals all the time. We all can help with spay and neuter!
