Per Cass County Conservation: “Attention deer hunters. A garbage can has been set up in front of the Nishna Bend shop to leave deer heads for CWD testing. There are instructions on the lid of the trash can on what to do. We do not need the antlers. If you want your deer tested but want to keep the head, reach out to Shelby County Conservation Board. It's easy to get the lymph nodes out for testing. Another location is also at Prairie Rose State Park. Thanks!!”

This is the map of the area for increased CWD surveillance. If you harvest a deer in this area, we would appreciate the lymph nodes for testing.

Last week our high school assistants were out helping (and learning!) to preg check cows, give scour vaccines to bred heifers, and pelvic measure open heifers. Kaydee and Kaylee are awesome help and always willing to learn new skills!
