Happy 3 year Anniversary to our great assistant Isabel! We both can not believe it has been 3 years, time flies when you are having fun. I love how Isabel steps up to challenges and takes on learning new skills. We all know she is a whiz at driving the gastroscope to the pylorus and the 1 meter scope into guttural pouches. She also takes the best foot radiographs, a skill she has really perfected over the last two years. We have a new list of skills for her take on in year 3! I am so lucky to have such a dedicated, fun and caring assistant. Thank you Isabel for 3 great years and here's to another!

Dr. Kate had a fun time yesterday at the Area 1 panel discussion. It was encouraging to see eventers of all ages and the questions from the audience were great. If you are at the Area 1 meeting today look for the KE Equine bucket filled with vet supplies at the silent auction!

Dr. Kate and Isabel are on vacation for the next week. We will not be able to respond to texts, email or phone calls while on vacation. If your horse has an urgent matter please contact your regular veterinarian. We will be back working November 6 and return texts, emails and calls then. Thank you !

Dr. Kate had a great day as the on site veterinarian for the Coursebrook Farm event. Fun to see lots of clients and friends today.

Dr. Kate attended this great CE event yesterday put on at Fairfield Equine and organized by Hilltop Bio. Thank you to all the speakers and sponsors. It was also great to see and catch up with my vet friends.

Happy 3 year anniversary to KE Equine. It’s been a great 3 years with awesome clients and horses. I get to ring in this anniversary running fluids to my horse Einstein that colicked last night but he seems to be on the mend. 🤞

Today we celebrate Isabel's 2 year anniversary with KE Equine. Isabel is Dr. Kate's invaluable vet assistant who excels in gastroscope driving and farrier view radiographs (she is better than Dr. Kate at taking laterals). Thank you Isabel for all you do for KE Equine patients and clients.

KE Equine is excited to offer a new test in equine metabolic testing which can measure the adiponectin concentration in serum. Adiponectin is a marker of insulin dysregulation/EMS and laminitis risk that has been validated and offered extensively clinically in the United Kingdom, but has not previously been available in the US.
