Working on“settle” on a designated mat in the middle of a busy children’s park — an important step in building focus and relaxation in distracting environments. Holly is demonstrating excellent impulse control despite the surrounding activity. This kind of real-world exposure is key to helping dogs generalize calm behaviors beyond the home environment.
