"The Small Meeting . . . Perfected" isn't just a catch phrase. The organizers of these meetings have attended many hundreds of veterinary seminars across their combined 60+ years in the profession-- from the big box retailers to the small dinner sessions. That’s a lot of on-the-job training and it has helped inform us about what works and what doesn't. By the end of the conference, we want you to realize what it feels like to "fly first class" at a veterinary CE meeting. Excellent Speakers-- We like to present a blend of speakers from Academia, Private Practice and Industry. Our Speakers are selected for their excellence as well as their expertise--we're not the training ground. Our Speakers are approachable and happy to answer your questions during the week. We also provide opportunity for them to interact with one another-- Panel Discussions at the end of each day's lectures give us all an opportunity to see what was said that was controversial or varies from region to region. Practical Information -- Our Speakers marching orders-- “deliver a talk tailored to our audience”-- not their veterinary school lecture and not the one designed for specialists. We're private practitioners and we want to learn more about the cases we're actually seeing. In fact, that is exactly what the Speakers are instructed-- "if a private practitioner hasn't seen a similar case within the past 30 days, then the topic probably doesn't belong in your lecture." Explore -- We have the most civilized schedule on the planet--typically, we provide 4 -5 hours of program each day-- giving you the afternoons off to explore the island, spend real quality time with your family, read a book, or do whatever else you want! Refresh --Since we're in a tropical location, dress is casual--no fancy clothes needed. We like to host one Reception per meeting-- a great chance to meet up with old friends. Many of the attendees at our meetings are repeaters. Over time, they form friendships that are renewed each meetings. Another "refreshing" idea-- we negotiate great deals on your rooms. We work hard to make your CE experience as affordable as it is valuable. Half day seminars to enjoy Hawaii's wonderful tropical weather and moderators to make sure we stay on course
