As of right now, we still have no power. Restoration times keep changing and the most recent one is 4 am. Fingers crossed we will be able to open tomorrow. For those on our schedule tomorrow, if we have to cancel we will get you back in asap. This is an inconvenience to everyone, unfortunately, but we will do our best to get everyone in as quickly as possible!

We are proud to announce we will be teaming up with the Alcona Humane Society and hosting an adoption event on December 2nd. The event will be held at the grooming salon from 11-3. We will be accepting donations during normal business hours Minday-Friday from now until the day of the event. Just bring them by and drop them off! The wish list is located at the bottom of the flier. Please add this to your calendar, and come find the newest addition to your family. Please share and let's help clear the shelter! All these precious babies deserve happy, loving homes ❤️

Hey yall!

Just a quick reminder, we will be closed for 4th of July week. We will reopen on July 10th. With the hot weather coming this week, I just want to remind everyone to protect their pups paws! The hot pavement can cause real damage. I hope you all have a very happy and safe 4th, and we will see you after vacation ❤️

To all my amazing clients and four legged friends!
I think I’ve told everyone but just in case I missed anyone .. may 30th was my last day at Sunrise Side Grooming. I’m moving downstate!
I wanted to take a moment and express my sincerest thanks to you all! Thank you for trusting me, I know how important our pets are to us! ❤️ I’m so thankful I got to care for each and every one of them!

Great advice for the start of summer!

As the weather warms up you might be tempted to shave or clip down your Australian Shepherd to keep them cool.

STEP AWAY FROM THE CLIPPERS!

Science has proven that double coated (guard or top coat and undercoat which is fluffy and soft) breeds should not be clipped down but should instead be kept throughly brushed to remove the dead undercoat. The undercoat is vital in keeping your Australian Shepherd warm in the winter AND cool in the summer. If you shave them, they’re unable to regulate their heat naturally which makes them more susceptible to heat stroke and sunburn to the skin.

Instead, grab a regular metal comb and “line comb” the dog to remove dead undercoat. Go slowly.. line by line down to the skin. This will help your dog keep itself cooler and reduce shedding in your home!

Hey yall!!

Just wanted to give a quick update. We have been told by a few people they heard we are shutting down. This is absolutely NOT true and we are open for business with no intentions of closing the doors. In fact, we have hired a new groomer and expect to be hiring a 3rd groomer in April! So many big, exciting changes coming for us. At this time we are also accepting new clients and have opened back up on Mondays as well to accommodate the influx of new pups. Sunrise Side Grooming and Cavalier Studios have merged into one business at my location on Lake Street. Im so pleased to have Terry and Angie with me daily, and although it's been a big change, everyone is adjusting fairly quickly. Thank you all so much for your continued support ❤
