***** Update on Milo and Otis!***** 🐾🐐

Thanks to the incredible support and quick response from our Grayson County community, deputies were able to locate the owner of Milo the Great Pyrenees and Otis the goat. We’re happy to share that both animals will be reunited with their owner today!

Grayson County truly is a great place to live, where neighbors still look out for one another and lend a hand when it’s needed most. It’s moments like these that remind us how much people still care about people.

In a story straight out of a movie, we've found a Great Pyrenees dog and a goat wandering together in the White Mound Road and Campground area! Nicknamed 'Milo and Otis' by deputies, these two have been inseparable in their little adventure.

We've managed to corral them with a kind resident while we wait for Grayson County Animal Control to pick up Milo (the dog). Otis (the goat) will be heading to a local farm for safekeeping.

If you're the owner, or you know who these best buddies belong to, please contact the Grayson County Sheriff's Office. Let’s help reunite these adventurers with their family!

At the surface, we should benefit from a better, late-week cold front! Shower and thunderstorm chances appear to be highest during this timeframe.

Tonight, the Aubrey Police Department will have extra officers on duty participating in Saturation Saturday.

In a powerful initiative to fight impaired driving ahead of Labor Day weekend, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) staff and volunteers are partnering with law enforcement in Texas for “Saturation Saturday” on August 24, 2024. This coordinated effort aims to save lives by intensifying impaired driving enforcement during one of the year's busiest travel periods.


Every year, more than 13,000 people are killed and almost 400,000 injured by impaired drivers. Drunk driving fatalities have increased by 33% since 2019. Every 79 seconds, someone in the U.S. is killed or injured by a drunk driver — and that number does not include the deaths and injuries caused by drivers who were impaired by cannabis or other controlled substances. According to NHTSA, in 2022, 1,869 people in Texas were senselessly killed by drunk drivers.

Advice from a trucker.
If this is how you trailer your horse on the drivers side, please stop it immediately. Yesterday made the 3rd time in recent years that I’ve had to put a semi in the ditch (maintained control, not wrecked) to keep from decapitating your equestrian friend with his head 3 1/2 ft. over the center line on a narrow road. Thank you!
