My family, business and I lived in California for 13 years. The first 8 in LA/Orange County and the last 5 in Northern California. We moved right after high school and in many ways I grew up there.

I was part of a large animal evacuation team in southern and northern California for years. But it never got so close personally as this one night in Vacaville at the barn I was working at and surrounding area, it happened so fast in the middle of the night and it is something I will never forget.

To see many of the beautiful places we used to visit and loved burned to the ground all the way to the beach in LA this past week is hard to watch and my heart and prayers go out to the families affected. 💔

I have missed this time this year as I have been recovering from injury. One of my favorite times in a horses training is the beginning 🐴.

When an awesome neighbor comes to save the day! Thank you to Shearforce for helping us get the stalls off the delivery truck when it showed up a day early. Stalls with gravel runs going up very soon! 💪🏼

#ThrowbackThursday to two years ago, spinning with my little one. Love the commentary 😄

This afternoon, Carly worked on figuring out her filly Breezy after we got her started under saddle a few months ago. Nice work!

A little spin practice with Reason. 🐴 My phone suggested an edit this morning on a little video at this last show and I thought it was actually pretty cool!

A fun, challenging drill to try with your horse. Working on steering (neck reining), circles, lead changes and turn arounds. Although you can make it as simplified or as creative as you want. He anticipated a turnaround to the left at the end, so I straightened him out and turned to the right. 🐴

Fun cattle lesson at K Bar C Arena today. Rey Rey and I got to play too. Next cattle work will be Friday June 16 at 1pm. Come join us! 🐮

Hayden got to ride Reason for the cutting clinic last weekend and did so well on her! She started riding with us two years ago on her little gaited pony and has improved in her riding so much. Aren't they so cute together? 🙂

Cruz and Punch had so much fun! Great to see this kid's confidence in his horse grow Cattle clinic at Bonina.

Rey Rey is getting pretty cool. Nice riding Maya!
