Robin Hoods Lost And Forgotten Felines

Robin Hoods Lost And Forgotten Felines We are Robin Hood's Lost and Forgotten Felines. We save kittens and cats from the streets, abandoned homes, get them medical treatment and find homes for them.

We are affiliated with Lavas Lost and Forgotten Felines but in Cayuga County. Our main Focus is stopping the reproduction of feral cats. We are TNR (Trap Nuter & release). We have hundrads of success stories from adoptions. As well we have also had our share of tragic and sad endings. We are the "Robin hoods of the cat world, we take from the evil and give to the good". Cats that are trapped are t

hen spayed/Nutured , shots and tested for FELUK, and FIV. They then are released back to the property they we trapped on as long as there is a caretaker that is willing to provide food and shelter. The cats/Kittens, for various reasons that are unable to be returned, go into foster care. Here they are completely veted, socialized and adopted to approved homes.

Remember how we always say that rescue Involves more expenses than just spay/ neuter, food and litter? Remember Jerome that we saved and in 24 hours he needed emergency care and had to be euthanized? Jerome's emergency vet bill is $300. Please donate if you can to help us pay this unexpected bill. Thank you for your support!

📚 Our BACK TO BASICS SERIES: spaying and neutering

Let's continue our discussion on reproduction.....

SNiP Now shared this very informative post regarding female fertility and reproduction. They wrote:
"We have had a few calls from people worried their cats are in pain as they are exhibiting symptoms of yowling and other unusual behaviors (rubbing all over items). What these individuals are describing is their female cat having heat cycles which can occur in females as young as 4-months of age. Yowling, rubbing, raising the behind up in the air (lordosis reflex), spraying, the desire to go outside and find a mate...are all symptoms that can occur during a female cat's heat cycle. Sometimes females can appear more loving and other times females can have more aggressive tendencies during this cycle."

Remember that spaying a cat will eliminate these behaviors as well as help control the cat population. Please have your cat spayed by 4 months of age!
