Community Spay-Neuter Clinic is hiring a Head Veterinary Technician for a three day a week position (Monday-Wednesday) in Topsham. The ideal applicant is a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic. We like to work hard and go home on time. NO ON-CALL OR WEEKEND DUTIES!!! Hours are three 10-hour days (30 hours) for full-time status with a generous benefits package.

This position is responsible for daily care of all surgical patients, assisting doctors and veterinary assistants with pre-, peri- and post-operative care of patients, training others to utilize our patient care protocols, and leading the technical team. Two or more years of experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter, with experience training and/or managing staff is required. Candidate should be a highly motivated, enthusiastic self-starter with a professional attitude and possess good communication skills as well as emotional intelligence and leadership ability. We are looking for someone who views obstacles that arise as a challenge and opportunity for improvement and growth. This position is scheduled for 3 days/week, Monday-Wednesday, 10 hour days. Licensure or enrollment in an approved veterinary medical technology program is preferred but not required. Part of our benefits package includes pay for education.
