January is all about education at CARE, and we’re thrilled to have Dr. Lindsey Daniel with us to share the importance of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for community cats! 🐈
Did you know there’s a humane way to help outdoor cats thrive while reducing overpopulation? It’s called Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)!
Through TNR, community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and then returned to their outdoor homes after a short recovery period. This helps them live healthier lives without contributing to the overpopulation crisis.
TNR benefits everyone by: reducing the number of homeless kittens, minimizing noise and fighting among cats, and supporting a healthier/more stable community cat population.
At CARE Humane Society, we’re proud to serve Lee County through The Ann Pearson Memorial Community Cat Program, building on the success of our SNYP+ program. This initiative helps unowned, feral, and community cats live better lives while reducing overpopulation.
Together, we’re creating healthier communities for cats and people! 🐱
