Images like this are helping us communicate better with owners about what we are treating in their horse’s mouth. This lower cheek tooth has pretty sharp points and uneven wear - a routine finding that is manageable with regular care. Dealing with this in a timely fashion increases efficiency and prolongs the functional life of the mouth and the horse.

First show of 2024 was a huge success! So many great ribbons in awesome company!
EP and Cossette won the Friday night derby! They were also Champion of short stirrup on Saturday! I’m so excited for the future of these two!
This was a first show for Sam and her new horse, Nostalgia and they proved to be an awesome match, taking Champion both days in Pre-Children’s!
Lauren and Galileo had a milestone weekend after stepping up to 3’ to help fill JD Pounds! They were Reserve Champion Saturday in the greens and Champion on Sunday!! AND Lauren won the HSV Sportsmanship Award for the weekend!
This was also a first show for Black! We are making progress, but not quite there! We had some great jumps and some not so great jumps, but a great experience!
The Sharman Family and I have a very hard couple of weeks leading up to this show, so it was a welcome distraction to get back on the road and back in the ring! I really feel that all 3 of my riders gave me 110% over the weekend! I am a very proud trainer!

Very cute, top of the line medium welsh gelding. 13 years old and green for his age, but that is reflected in the post. He jumps 2’-2’3” courses and the change is there, but not auto. Cute over with a great jump! Has been shown in the crossrails at Conyers by an 11 y/o.
We have had this guy for over a year. He has been on the back burner some, but is in work now and doing great. This is the type of pony that will also gladly teach walk/trot and crossrail lessons, but he needs a professional or well versed ammie to keep him prepped weekly.

Unfortunately, due to a death in my family, Katie & I were unable to attend the 50th annual GHJA Banquet last Saturday. I was truly looking forward to spending this special night with my girls. Week 1 Apprenticeship is complete! I have enjoyed sharing the tips and tricks of the trade with these young aspiring professionals. There is a method to the madness of caring for a large farm, and instilling good habits is imperative. We are practicing the routine, step by step, each day so that it is ingrained. So impressed with these two ladies, for joining the Saturday Morning Bareback Lesson! It can be so difficult to try new things and not only did they try, but they hung right there with the teenagers through the last exercise….cantering a course with a hairpin turn!

We have a new HRF member who has chosen to live in the ring! [we have suggested to Turtle 🐢 about living outside of the ring, but he keeps coming back 🤷🏻♀️] As many of you know, we also have a family of foxes, raccoons, and hawks there in the woodline. We are happy to welcome Turtle to our crew. ☺️
