In order to allow staff to spend time with their families this holiday season, we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Limited staff will still have to come in and quickly walk/feed everyone, but the animals will be cooped up in their kennels for majority of the time from Wednesday afternoon-Friday morning. Please consider fostering an animal for 2 nights to help us and them!
Fostering is an incredibly easy way to help save animals lives! All supplies are included, and we even do meetings with resident dogs to make sure everyone gets along.

Due to the high number of adult dogs currently in our care, all dogs over 40 pounds and altered have no adoption fee for the time being!! 🎉

We are urgently seeking fosters for our large dogs! We've had a huge influx of animals come in within the past 3-4 days, and unfortunately majority have been adult dogs.
All supplies are included with fostering, and we allow fosters the first option to adopt! There's no timeline required, but ideally we're looking for people willing to house a dog for 1-2 weeks to allow them to decompress and provide us enough time to hopefully get some adopted and clear up kennels.

Calling cat fosters! 🐱
This 11 year old girl was surrendered to us last week, and she’s not doing well at all in this environment. Cally just sits in her kennel with little-to-no interest in eating or any activity. We expect minimal activity due to her weight, but she desperately needs something more enriching. Please email [email protected] if you’re able to foster this sweet girl!

It's that time of year again that we need your help. We are looking for cat or dog fosters for 2 days. Pick up Wednesday before Thanksgiving and drop back off Friday after. Minimum requirement, gives them a quick break and it helps the staff have less to care for on Thanksgiving to allow them more time at home with their families.

You do have the option to keep longer if you would like.

Bonus ----->>>>> You fostering gives us a little more information on how your foster pet is in a home setting to help us find the perfect forever home.

Our goal is to have as many as possible in a foster for 48 hours.

If you haven't met Crybaby, you need to stop by. This big ole teddy bear lived a life outdoors until this past year. Sadly his owner died from cancer and all he knows now is shelter life. He would love to go to your home to hang out on your couch. He needs an Adoption Ambassodor. Someone to foster and promote him to show off how great he is in a home.

He does not perfer cats or small dogs, but we have tested him around other dogs. He was also recently treated for heartworms and needs a few more weeks of rest. If you can help, please email [email protected].

Miss Nova is currently being fostered by Auburn Veterinary Hospital She is a loving and cuddly cat that is not quite 2 years old. She has been FELV/FIV tested, age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and microchipped. Currently available for adoption. 2 more large breed puppies that need some socialization. The shelter environment, we will not be able to give that. We don't need to keep them in same foster home. Andre and & Alexa are part of a litter of 5 are are now ready for adoption. These 2 will be returning on Thursday if you would like to set up a meeting. Although we are unsure of the breed mix, we think they will be small to medium dogs once full grown. Now they could fool us as they grow since we do not know what the parents are.

We have another group in need of fostering! Older pups that need some socialization with pets and humans. They were found abandoned. We are completing their intakes today. Approximately 30-35lbs and not sure on who is male or female at this time. We do not know what breed.

Monty is a spunky, lovable little gal with a hear of gold! She is a dog that loves a good run and is a master at wresting and playing with other pups. At 6 months old Monty has a lot to learn and is eager to have someone who will give her the opportunity to learn.

Monty was originally adopted as a small puppy from CARE but unfortunately the adopters didn't realize just how energetic puppies can be and how much training is needed to ensure a happy adult dog and she was shortly brought back. Her current foster speaks very highly of how smart she is. Would you like to meet her?

Ysera is in desperate need of a foster. We came into new new born puppies. Help her and her 9 babies. We give you all the supplies and Mom does all the work. She just needs a quiet room to raise her babies. The shelter is very stressful for her. Please email [email protected]
