Welcome back, Dr. Miller! 🦅

Auburn University Raptor Center is excited to welcome Robyn D. Miller, PhD as our new director. Dr. Miller’s journey with raptors began right here at Auburn, where she volunteered in both AURC’s rehabilitation and education departments while obtaining her PhD in literature. Now, she’s thrilled to return to the place that sparked her passion and honored to lead AURC’s dedicated team.

With over a decade of experience in raptor training, rehabilitation, and education, Dr. Miller is passionate about fostering connections between people and wildlife. In her previous role, she played a key part in designing and developing a new raptor facility, launching conservation initiatives protecting our waterways, and establishing a STEAM-based educational program to connect communities with birds of prey. She is a licensed falconer, a naturalist, and a strong advocate for research-driven conservation efforts. Currently, Dr. Miller serves as a general board member of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE).

As director, Dr. Miller is committed to strengthening AURC’s mission by expanding the center’s wingspan in conservation, education, and research. She looks forward to working alongside the Auburn family and the broader community to inspire a deeper appreciation for these incredible birds. War Eagle!

The Auburn Vet Med family is mourning the loss of Tim Boosinger, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVP, who passed away on January 27, 2025, after a valiant fight against cancer and its complications. Dr. Boosinger served Auburn University for 35 years and was the sixth dean of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (1995-2011), later serving as Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Auburn University (2011-2018).

The College of Veterinary Medicine is excited to announce that we are inviting the community to our campus to share some of the incredible aspects of our college. On Saturday, April 5 from 9am-1pm the CVM will host its 2nd annual Vet Fest.

Students, faculty and staff will provide information and exhibits on veterinary medicine, biomedical science and Public & One Health. Featured activities will include a canine parade of breeds, painted horse, teddy bear surgery, the Auburn Raptor Center, student club exhibits and much more.
