In the "Botanical Design: Pressed Flower Journal Workshop," students can learn all about how to preserve beautiful flowers! Instructor Betsy Priest () will guide everyone along to create their very own nature and flower press book/journal! Students can either bring their own flowers or use those provided by Betsy. It's gonna be a great time!

Another class at The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning is in the books. For this class we used a variety of summer blooms, both dried and fresh, and of course, a mixture of evergreens. I am loving what we created!! Looking forward to our Fall

I am so excited for our Live Wreath-Making Workshop at The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning tomorrow (Thursday, the 25th, 5:30pm), Summer Edition. In collaboration with Suburban Flower Gals, we will have some gorgeous dried and fresh flowers and herbs to add to our wreaths or swaths. We have a few openings left. Let me teach you a skill you will enjoy the rest of your life. It’s so easy and fun! If you are on fence, this is your sign! Come join us…I promise you won’t regret it!!

What an amazing market! I ran into one of my 8th grade students, James who is now starting his sophomore year at UGA. Apparently we were making rosemary rolls when I taught him! Both James and his friend bought some today, of course at a “student” discount!

Our Jones family came out and supported us, too!! Pre-planning starts this week!!

And two of our sweet customers, The Hawkins’ stopped by and brought us a homemade dinner (amazing lasagna!!) which was perfect timing as Paul hurt his back yesterday and today was a full day for all of us. They also came with gifts for Sage as she starts her entrepreneurial journey!

And this is just a few of the people who loved on us this evening. We are so blessed and so grateful for this wonderful community that supports us and nurtures and feeds us, probably as much or more than we do them!!

Make your own fun floral arrangements in the "Botanical Design: Summer Flower Bar Workshop!" Instructor Betsy Priest (of Shady Grove Farmstead) has created some incredible flower presentations and she can't wait to pass her knowledge on to her students! Materials will be provided, as will mimosas in the garden! It's going to be a great workshop, so sign up today!

I had an amazing time with these beautiful ladies! We made 20 bouquets from locally grown and harvested flowers. Every single arrangement was gorgeous and perfectly unique. Thanks to all the participants and the The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning for making this workshop so enjoyable. Thanks to Suburban Flower Gals and Sally Dakis Saylor Priest for the additional lovely blooms and foliage. I have another workshop at The Hudgens next Thursday evening. It’s our Live Wreath-making Workshop. We will be using locally harvested evergreens and a variety of summer blooms/herbs (dried and fresh), as well as other decor to create your perfect summertime wreath or swath! Message me for more info! Or I can bring the flower bar to you for a girls’ night or corporate event!!
