• Wednesday, 12/25: CLOSED — Our lobby will be closed, and no pick-ups or drop-offs will be available.

🎉 Congratulations to our December Employee of the Month, Zach Nameniuk! 🎄

Zach is a shining star here at Grove Bark Inn, and we’re thrilled to celebrate his hard work and dedication. Here are some fun facts about Zach:

🌟 In his free time, Zach enjoys playing golf and working out.

📍🌊 He’s from Mobile, Alabama.

🐾 🐕While Zach doesn’t have any pets of his own, he shares his home with his roommate’s golden retriever, Milo.

🎓 💪His dream career is to become a physical therapist.

🐶 Zach’s favorite breed is the energetic and playful Labrador Retriever, especially because they love activities like fetch and swimming!

✈️ 🇮🇹 His dream vacation is exploring the beautiful cities of Italy.

💙 At Grove Bark Inn, Zach loves the variety of dogs he gets to care for every day, whether they’re boarding or enjoying day camp.

🐾 Shiloh – the slam dunk specialist
🐾 Banks – point guard with paws
🐾 Charlie – team snack manager (he’s working on it)

1) What do you like to do on your off time?
I really enjoy reading science papers and articles. 📚 I also like to unwind with a good podcast, book, or movie from time to time. 🎧🎬

2) Where are you from?
I am from Tuskegee, Alabama. 🏡

3) Do you own any pets, and how many?
I don’t have any pets at the moment, but I used to have a Catahoula Leopard Dog named Rosco. 🐕

4) What is your dream career?
My dream career is to be a biologist who studies various animals and travels all around the world! 🌍🔬

5) What is your favorite memory at Grove Bark Inn?
One of my favorite memories has to be when I made Maddie burst out laughing during a call with a client! 😂

6) What do you love about working at Grove Bark Inn?
I LOVE how friendly everyone is and how much I get to interact with the dogs. 🐶❤️

7) What is your favorite dog breed and why?
My favorite breed has to be Australian Cattle Dogs! I love their energy and athleticism. ⚡ They’re also incredibly intelligent—I’ve seen them outsmart humans, and that’s fascinating! 🐕

😎 What is your dream vacation?
It might sound crazy, but I’ve always wanted to go to Australia! 🦘🌏 There are so many diverse species of animals there, and there’s always something new to discover!

9) What is your favorite activity to do with the dogs in day camp?
My favorite activity is running around and playing tag with the dogs! Mando and Shilo LOVE that game! 🏃‍♂️🐾

🐾 Important Reminder for All Pet Owners! 🐾

Hello everyone!

We want to remind you that the Canine Influenza vaccine is now required this year due to the rising cases in nearby areas. This measure is crucial for the safety and well-being of your beloved fur babies and others they interact with at our facility.

Why is the vaccine required?
To ensure a safe environment for Day-Camp, Boarding, and Grooming, the influenza vaccine is mandatory. Although we have had no cases at our facility, we aim to maintain this record and protect your pups’ health.

When should your dog be vaccinated?
The vaccine is recommended for dogs frequently exposed to other dogs, including those who are boarded, visit dog parks, participate in public pet events, or travel.

How does the vaccination process work?
- Initial vaccination: Two doses given 2-4 weeks apart.
- Follow-up: A yearly booster.
- Note: Immunity develops 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccination.

Vaccinations are essential medical tools that protect our dogs from various illnesses. They work by stimulating the immune system to recognize and fight infectious agents, acting as a protective shield for your dog.
