From Mr. Zero F#cks to Mr. Gentleman.
A friendly reminder that your relationship with your dog(s), just like any relationship, are always evolving, and that training is only a springboard in the right direction.
Always reach out to your trainer(s) if you're struggling with new poor habits, or are in need of a refresher to get you back on track.
Much like therapy and counseling - it's always best to be proactive about your relationship(s), but should you find yourselves in the weeds, we're here to help guide you out of it. #yougetwhatyouputin

DOGS & BABIES DON'T ALWAYS MIX!
This is a topic I will always be passionate about, as ignorance of the reality can cost someone their child's (and dog's) life.
Search "dog bite statistics" on google to see why taking cute photos or your toddler sitting on your dog is risky behavior.

Update on our lil street fighter from Mexico 🫴🏾
Slow and steady progress, slow and steady progress.
Back story:
Someone went on vacation to Mexico and developed an attachment with little Cenote here, the "Good Samaritan" decided to uproot this little guy's entire world (he's ~5+yrs) thinking that they could give him a better life.
If I was an old war vet street dog living in Mexico, I'd be livid about this weather and having to live my life on a leash too.
A friendly reminder that if you're visiting other countries to not feed the local wildlife - including street dogs/cats. If you choose to and they end up following you everywhere, please do not project your human desire onto them and think you'd be doing them a favor bringing them into a lifestyle they never asked for and you weren't prepared for.
Cenote ended up on Craigslist and is here for an Aggression Rehab program to help assimilate him to city life and hopefully find him a forever home (he'd prefer a ride back to Mexico).
From exploding at dogs within a 2 block radius to being able to let another [calm] dog pass by on the same sidewalk, I'd say we're making slow and steady progress. Rooting for this dog 🫶🏾
It's a brother-sister thanggg 😍
Can we talk about why I feel the need to use my entire body when speaking? 😅

Muzzle conditioning exercises for Hero the yellow lab.
Hero isn't a huge fan of nail trims, so we're conditioning him to the muzzle to keep him and ourselves safe from naughty old habits.
Please do not skip muzzle conditioning steps.
Oftentimes dogs find themselves with a muzzle being forced on in emergency situations, which can amplify any fear and defensiveness they may be feeling in the moment.
Here, you can see that Hero associates the muzzle with food, and very eagerly puts his face in it and lets us put it on towards the end.
Hero is ready for his forever home!
He'll be available for adoption through @doggoneseattle
F L U I D I T Y -
The ability of a substance to flow easily.
So many dog owners struggle with being able to flow from soft/gentle to hard/unf#ckwithable.
Your dog knows who to mess with, and who to check themselves with.
"Be like water" - Bruce Lee
Mr. Hero arrived from @doggoneseattle to work on some intense leash reactivity and his overall lack of manners. He'll be available for adoption once he's completed his program. We're looking forward to this guy finding his forever home with his forever people.
