HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!
Please remember to crate your dog to keep them and everyone safe while the chaos of the holiday festivities ensue.
Stay safe and enjoy!
Before vs. Now
When I say "It takes a Village", I bet y'all didn't know that this includes the little people π #toddlerisatrainedprofessional
One of my favorite little people went to work with me, because in our house we support paid child labor π€£ ππΎ
Apparently I still have to work on my "clear communication" because my instructions need help π
Miso will be reuniting with her family next weekend, my favorite thing to hear is:
"You gave as an entirely new dog" π₯Ή
From Mr. Zero F#cks to Mr. Gentleman.
A friendly reminder that your relationship with your dog(s), just like any relationship, are always evolving, and that training is only a springboard in the right direction.
Always reach out to your trainer(s) if you're struggling with new poor habits, or are in need of a refresher to get you back on track.
Much like therapy and counseling - it's always best to be proactive about your relationship(s), but should you find yourselves in the weeds, we're here to help guide you out of it. #yougetwhatyouputin
Gotta love living in the PNW

DOGS & BABIES DON'T ALWAYS MIX!
This is a topic I will always be passionate about, as ignorance of the reality can cost someone their child's (and dog's) life.
Search "dog bite statistics" on google to see why taking cute photos or your toddler sitting on your dog is risky behavior.

Update on our lil street fighter from Mexico π«΄πΎ
Slow and steady progress, slow and steady progress.
Back story:
Someone went on vacation to Mexico and developed an attachment with little Cenote here, the "Good Samaritan" decided to uproot this little guy's entire world (he's ~5+yrs) thinking that they could give him a better life.
If I was an old war vet street dog living in Mexico, I'd be livid about this weather and having to live my life on a leash too.
A friendly reminder that if you're visiting other countries to not feed the local wildlife - including street dogs/cats. If you choose to and they end up following you everywhere, please do not project your human desire onto them and think you'd be doing them a favor bringing them into a lifestyle they never asked for and you weren't prepared for.
Cenote ended up on Craigslist and is here for an Aggression Rehab program to help assimilate him to city life and hopefully find him a forever home (he'd prefer a ride back to Mexico).
From exploding at dogs within a 2 block radius to being able to let another [calm] dog pass by on the same sidewalk, I'd say we're making slow and steady progress. Rooting for this dog π«ΆπΎ
