The current dog training landscape is awash in indoctrinated zealots, keyboard experts, and trainers who are either terribly ignorant or who are prioritizing their revenue streams over telling the truth.

Luckily there are some exceptions out there. Your job, if you want to succeed with your dog or as a dog trainer wanting to learn, is to find these exceptions.

Clues: look for those who whose information and ideas are often emotionally and intellectually challenging/uncomfortable, and whose information and ideas often come at a cost (rather than garnering cheap and easy virtue points), and whose information and ideas strangely seem to align with a reality (common sense) which deep down you know to be true.
