Some answers to some frequency asked questions...what hours do I groom? I don't have actual set hours I can start as early as 7 am, and work week nights as late as people need me to, I will do what I can to work with your schedule. Do I work weekends? Yes I do work some Saturdays and/or Sundays, unless the grandkids have things going on. I don't like to be booked out very far so weekends help me keep on top of the schedule when the week days get crazy. Do I do just baths?...yes and/or just nail trims too. And yes I do groom cats ☺️

With ice in the forecast if you have a groom scheduled tomorrow and don't want to risk it, that's not a problem, just let me know I don't expect you to put yourself and pup in danger! I am grooming next Saturday and Sunday also, and I'll work as late as I need to next week to get everyone in if you're more comfortable rescheduling 😊

It's our 5 year anniversary out here In the Dog House! (I have been grooming almost 40 years!) Walter has been busy baking homemade doggy treats for all the friends he's made over the past 5 years (it's exhausting being Walter as the picture shows)

December is always a crazy month around here so I am adding some extra weekend hours for grooming. Working around the granddaughters competition dance and grandsons wrestling on weekends. I am here Monday through Friday also 🎄

Our phone has not been working the past 2 days, so not all texts have sent and some calls are going straight to voicemail and we're not getting the vm messages for several hours later. Walter may not be ready, but we're putting everything back in place today so we can fully reopen tomorrow! As you can see the new kennel gates are going in and the epoxy floors are fantastic

The kennel tear down has happened. The office is pretty empty also. Tomorrow is the last day we get everything else out and clean for the new floors! We will still be taking appointments for grooming and boarding while we're closed. We reopen again Monday Nov 18th. We will respond to texts quicker than phone calls since we are gonna get away from here. Thank you for your patience during the next week!

A question has come up if I sedate the dogs to groom them. Absolutely not, I am not a vet so I don't think even have access to do such a thing. I do groom several dogs that have been sedated other places and I'm always willing to give a dog or cat a chance at being groomed without sedation but no I do not s date them, I might sit on the floor and gain their trust for an extra 30 minutes before attempting the groom 😊

Reminder we will be closed November 7th-17th. Iowa Epoxy is coming in to redo our floors in the office and kennel areas. So we're taking a break before the busy holiday season hits. We will be able to take in boarding dogs on the 18th, I won't be grooming yet that day so we can put everything back in place after the floor has had time to fully cure. Sorry for the inconvenience but it should look fantastic!
