This event is held every year to educate about the American Saddlebred. We were thrilled to be able to share our Saddlebreds this year and hope to be back in 2025!

Erin McCracken, the Queen of Seraphim Stables, is our next Seraphim Stables Spotlight. 👑💗
At the age of 8, McCracken attended an open house at Arabian Knights Farms(AKF) in Willowbrook, Illinois. Just like any other little girl she fell in love with horses. However, unlike most who lose the dream, McCracken never lost the drive to one day be a horse trainer. After taking a few lessons with Van Robinson of AKF, her parents went on to lease a retired gaited Saddlebred. She was hooked on the breed from the start.

From there, her parents purchased Tropical Night for her and her sister, Kate. They purchased Tropical Night after Melanie Feldges introduced them to Nealia Molback. “Topper” was brought back to AKF where McCracken and her sister worked and trained him under the careful eye of Melanie. After much success in the show ring the girls had their sights set on St. Louis National. To achieve this goal they sent Topper back to North Wind Stables for a tune up. Kate went on to win the Junior Western Pleasure Finals on him in 1994.

McCracken stayed with North Wind Stables(NWS) after her father, Mark McCracken, married Nealia. She showed many horses to much success in the Midwest with NWS. When NWS moved to New Jersey, McCracken bounced back and forth between working as a nurse in the Midwest and competing with NWS on the East Coast. She inevitably moved to New Jersey in 2006 where she currently resides. In 2012 she officially obtained her professional card!

After a successful start to her professional career with NWS, and working at Saddlebred Rescue, McCracken opened her own barn in 2020, Seraphim Stables LLC. Erin has a gift when it comes to what others would consider “problem horses”. With patience and virtue, she creates a training program accustomed to each horse’s needs, always placing their health and well being first. McCracken is just as great a horse trainer as she is an instructor. She has helped multiple riders and drivers of all ages achieve their dreams in the show ring.
While her resume as a trainer is extensive, when asked what her favorite part of being a horse trainer is she responded with:

“I love to watch my riders succeed in and out of the show ring. When you’ve worked hard to put a team together and it finally clicks, it’s very rewarding!”

To start off this Spooky Halloween Weekend we’re going to introduce the original “Dark Knight” for our first ever Seraphim Stables Spotlight!🖤🎃
CH Gone Platinum aka “Felix” was born May 18th, 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia. Sired by Periaptor and out of Harlem’s Moondance, Felix was destined for greatness from the start. His accolades include:

- 214 Classes: Fine Harness, Park, Show Pleasure, 12 & under Walk/Trot, and Open English!
- 79 Champion Ribbons
- 43 Reserve Champion Ribbons
- 27 Top Three finishes
- 27 CH points
- 1 National Champion
- 3x Reserve National Champion
- 2x National Grand Champion
- 1 World Champion
- 1 Reserve World Champion
- 3 Reserve World Champion of Champions

Felix started off his career in Fine Harness winning at some of the top shows in the country (Midwest, All American, American Royal, WCHS). From there he went on to the Amateur Park Division, continuing with his winning ways.
Felix has lived in many states but he inevitably came home to New Jersey in 2011 and was gifted to his forever partner, Erin McCracken, in 2014! Erin McCracken and CH Gone Platinum went on to enjoy many victory passes and always put in electrifying performances in the Show Pleasure Division and in the Open Park Division once Erin McCracken attained her professional card.
But what makes Felix so special is not the accomplishments listed above. It’s all the riders and people he has touched over the years. Felix is every little girls dream come true. He, along with his owner Erin McCracken, have made multiple riders dreams come true. Some of those riders include: Kori Shaffer, Ava Clark, and Ellie Hume.
No one can ever tell Felix his age! He never jokes about his reverse and trot or his peppermints! Even though, at the age of 25, he has started to enjoy the retired life he still likes to kick it into gear for our riders to feel what a “real show horse” feels like! 🩶❤️🖤

In between our busy show schedule, some of Team Seraphim took a trip to Halls of Horror in Palmerton Pa for some much needed Halloween fun! 🩸🕸️☠️

It was a boo-tiful weekend in Ohio, where these girls both gave hauntingly good performances at the Heartland Spooktacular! 🎃🏆

Hurricane Helene checked in at the 2024 ASHAV Horse Show! But, she didn’t slow our teams down one bit.

A hectic but fantastic evening session for
Team Seraphim consisted of:
• Ellie Hume and El Chapparo winning the ASB Pony English Pleasure qualifier.
• Stonegate’s Take Me to Church and Jessica Kurfuss pulling a good ribbon out of a competitive ASB Adult Show Pleasure Championship.
• CH Marco Polo and Camryn McHugh riding to a very well earned Reserve Grand Champion title in the ASB Hunter Country Pleasure Championship.
• Pam Fettig and Soquili’s Fast and Furious taking on the ASB Five Gaited Show Pleasure Championship earning a fantastic ribbon among tough competition.

Off to a great start here at the 2024 ASHAV Horse Show.
• We started off with Pam Fettig and Soquili’s Fast and Furious putting in a fantastic ride and earning a great ribbon in a deep ASB Five Gaited Show Pleasure Class.
• Followed up by Jessica Kurfuss on Stonegate’s Take Me to Church taking a top four spot in the ASB Adult Show Pleasure Class.
• CH Marco Polo piloted by Camryn McHugh cinched the Reserve Champion spot in the ASB Hunter Country Pleasure class.
• Cash for Keeps and Erin McCracken finished up our first night riding to the Reserve Champion ribbon in the Open Five Gaited.
• Our second day started off with our OTAB English Pleasure Ladies, Jane Stevens on Pocketful of Sun and Camryn McHugh on Ledyard Bombshell. Both teams put in fantastic rides.
• Jane Stevens and Pocketful of Sun were crowned the Champions followed by Camryn McHugh. Both ladies fought hard and put in fantastic rides!
Look for us again tonight!🩶❤️🖤

All of our horses made it home safe from the Big E Horse Show. Could not be more thankful for our amazing barn family. And to Erin McCracken and Juan Villalon you were the heros of our story and got all of our horses, along with many others, to safety. Thank you could never be enough!
Thank you goes out to everyone who helped us in this time of need. Again, thank you will never be enough.

Spotlights and great rides had by all the first night at the 2024 Big E Horse Show!
Our two gaited riders Ava Clark on Fox Grape’s Top Trend along with Pam Fettig on Soquili’s Fast and Furious put in fantastic rides in the Five Gaited Show Pleasure Class.
Finishing out the night Erin McCracken and Jessica Kurfuss went 1st and 2nd respectively in a deep Adult English Pleasure class.
Way to ride hard ladies! Look for us again tonight in the English Pleasure Junior Exhibitor and ASB Hunter Country Pleasure!

To say this week was a success would be an understatement for these two lovely teams as they competed on the green shavings! Years of hard work all came together at the 2024 WCHS. Both teams rode beautifully and showed that they deserved to be competing at the highest level of competition in our industry. New goals have been set and a hunger for more has been sparked by Freedom Hall. See us next at the Big E Horse Show!

Stonegate’s Take Me to Church expertly piloted by Jessica Kurfuss put in a great ride in the second split of the Adult Show Pleasure division.
Followed by Ava Clark and New York’s Midnight Lady as they took on the steep 20 entries in the Hunter Country Pleasure class. As the youngest rider to step foot on the green shavings in the Hunter Country Pleasure division this team has their sights set on the championship Wednesday morning! 🩶🖤❤️🪽
