Learning how to start your seed!

Mixing seed with sand spreads the seed out and makes it less likely you will drop too many seeds in any one spot. Mix a packet of seed with about four times as much sand. Drop the seed/sand mixture sparingly along the row or area where you want to plant. Or, put the seed/sand mixture in a salt shaker with holes large enough for both the seed and sand to come through and sprinkle the mixture in the planting area.
