The difference a little decompression a d day of luxury can make in life of a rescue dog is priceless.This day of relaxation was donated to Maxx by Sandy Lawrence. Maxx has been in rescue with his sister since October 2021, when my dad passed of cancer.
My dad regularly brought Maxx to Gk for training and spa days but the last 6 months of being in here have really caused stress for him making him loose weight and well his mind. His anxiety has been so much lately he just paces and barks. He has recently been placed on calming supplements but nothing replaces the thought of being with my dad.My dad took Maxx for truck rides(his fav), meeting and kissing everyone he saw, doing gardening together and just being boys outside together, and sleeping by my dads side in bed This day means so much to me and Maxx. Even though ,I cant bring my dad back for him, he still needs decompression time, nature walks, truck rides, and day of spoiling. Thank you so much to my staff that treat Maxx like their own and to Sandy for donating to make this day special for him. Maxx isn't the only one with a story. We have many rescues that have been here for years for one reason or another that desperately need one of these days too. Can you find it in your ❤️ to donate a suite and spa day for a rescue? If you can you be coordinated with on which rescue and the best day to allow you to treat,talk and watch them all day and night. The cost is $65 nd includes a spa treatment (you get pics) and a day and night in our Luxury Suite. The Luxury Suite is seperated from main boarding and offers a much quiter setting, with only the softest blankets, pillows and of course Flat-screen TV for dogs like Maxx to watch westerns like he did with my dad.
