Interesting about hip dysplasia ( It's more environmental not genetic)

Environmental factors increase the risk of hip dysplasia in dogs.

Nutrition: A diet high in protein and low in carbohydrates can help keep your dog's joints healthy. However, excess energy consumption, dietary calcium, and vitamin D can increase the risk of hip dysplasia.
Exercise: The amount, type, and intensity of exercise can impact hip dysplasia.
Trauma: Injuries or trauma during skeletal development can increase the risk.
Growth rate: Rapid growth can increase the likelihood of developing hip dysplasia.
Body weight: Being overweight can put undue stress on the hip joints.
Housing: Slippery floors can increase the risk.
Access: Stairs can increase the risk.

Borrowed from a breeder ! There is a reason Pomeranians and Great Danes and German shepherds are expensive. These are not dogs that live in the back yard, eat Old Roy, and when the female come into heat she gets pregnant by your male while you’re at work. Eight weeks later you don’t come home to a pile of cash nursing on the mom and just have to wait another 8 weeks for that tidy sum to mature so you can cash in.

Each year dignified breeders spend tens of thousands of dollars on the care and breeding of their dogs. Quality food, vet bills, health tests, DNA, supplies... When we have puppies they don’t leave our sight for the first 8 weeks... we call it because we don’t sleep. We monitor nursing (every two hours, 7 days a week for weeks), we bottle feed, we tube feed. We pour ourselves into these tiny little lives to the point where we become sick. We cancel our lives: vacations, school plays, weddings, anniversaries, births and birthdays... everything is on hold when we have puppies.
When we don’t have babies we still have the daily upkeep of our dogs. We also use this time for research, training and further educating ourselves so that we can produce the healthiest babies possible.
So, yes, we work our butts off keeping these amazing babies not only alive, but healthy, well adjusted and ready for their new families.

Well bred dogs can have health issues.
Well bred dogs can fail health testing, even if both parents passed.
Well bred dogs can have faults.
Well bred dogs can be poorly built.
Well bred dogs can lack breed type.
Well bred dogs can have severely off bites.
Well bred dogs can be reactive.
Well bred dogs can be timid/fearful.
Well bred dogs are not perfect.

Breeders striving to breed better dogs is what makes the difference.
No matter how hard a breeder tries, sometimes things happen and they produce something less than ideal. That does not define a breeder. What they do with that information moving forward is what defines them.

Breeders have return clauses in their contracts for a reason...please adhere to them and don't just drop the dog off at a shelter nor sell/re-home it especially if it was given to you FREE bc your other died
